Clinically Meaningful Reduction in Dyspareunia Is Associated With Significant Improvements in Health-Related Quality of Life Among Women With Moderate to Severe Pain Associated With Endometriosis: A Pooled Analysis of Two Phase III Trials of Elagolix.
Dyspareunia experienced by women diagnosed with endometriosis is associated with a decreased health-related quality of life (HRQoL). ⋯ Clinically meaningful responses in dyspareunia are associated with improvements across multiple HRQoL domains among women with endometriosis. Thiol/Disulfide Homeostasis in Patients With Erectile Dysfunction.
Although there are no sufficient data on association between oxidative stress and erectile dysfunction (ED), numerous studies have reported that imbalance between the formation of reactive oxygen species and body's antioxidant defenses may play a role in the pathogenesis of ED. ⋯ The results of this study showed that thiol/disulfide homeostasis is altered in ED, and this imbalance may be a factor in its pathophysiology. We determined that as ED gets more severe, toSH and SH parameters decrease, whereas SS parameter increases. Micoogullari U, Karatas OF, Kisa E, et al. Patient and Partner Sexual Concerns During the First Year After an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator: A Secondary Analysis of the P+P Randomized Clinical Trial.
Sexual concerns and changes in sexual activity are common among patients and their intimate partners after an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD). ⋯ Sexual activity at the time of an initial ICD implant is low, and sexual concerns are most prominent for both patients and partners immediately after implant placement. Baseline physical health predicts subsequent sexual activity at 3 months, while general ICD-related worry predicts sexual fears at 3 and 12 months. Streur MM, Rosman LA, Sears SF, et al. Patient and Partner Sexual Concerns During the First Year After an Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillator: A Secondary Analysis of the P+P Randomized Clinical Trial. J Sex Med 2020;17:892-902.

Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to Increase Adherence to Penile Injection Therapy-Based Rehabilitation After Radical Prostatectomy: Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial.
Despite the importance of using penile injections as part of a penile rehabilitation program, men have difficulty complying with these programs. ⋯ ACT-ED is feasible and significantly increases the use of penile injections. ACT-ED also shows promise (moderate effects) for increasing satisfaction with penile injections and sexual self-esteem while decreasing sexual bother and prostate cancer treatment regret. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to Increase Adherence to Penile Injection Therapy-Based Rehabilitation After Radical Prostatectomy: Pilot Randomized Controlled Trial. J Sex Med 2019; 19:1398-1408.

The Oxytocin Antagonist Cligosiban Prolongs Intravaginal Ejaculatory Latency and Improves Patient-Reported Outcomes in Men with Lifelong Premature Ejaculation: Results of a Randomized, Double-Blind, Placebo-Controlled Proof-of-Concept Trial (PEPIX).
Cligosiban is an orally administered oxytocin receptor antagonist being developed to treat premature ejaculation (PE). ⋯ Cligosiban was well tolerated, and resulted in significant benefits in both objective and subjective measures of ejaculatory control in men with lifelong PE and therefore offers significant potential as an on-demand, orally administered agent for the treatment of PE.
