Anterior spinal meningoceles are rare neuroanatomic abnormality formed by protrusion of the spinal meninges through a defect in the vertebral column. Presently, therapeutic options for anterior spinal meningoceles are still controversial. The objective of this study is to discuss the individualized management of giant anterior spinal meningoceles. ⋯ Management of anterior spinal meningoceles often requires precise treatment based on the different conditions of each patient. Surgical intervention has been proposed for the treatment of symptomatic anterior spinal meningoceles. The goal of surgery is to safely disconnect the linkage between the cyst and CSF from subarachnoid space to prevent further enlargement of the cyst or reaccumulating of cystic fluid.

Case report: simultaneous occurrence of multiple myeloma and non-Hodgkin lymphoma treated by CAR T therapy.
B cell lymphoma can co-occur with multiple myeloma (MM), and the prognosis in this case is usually poor. We propose the combination of CD19-chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T cells and BCMA-CAR T cells for the treatment of such patients to obtain a superior prognosis. ⋯ The combination therapy of CD19- and BCMA-CAR T cells is an effective measure to treat patients with concomitant or borderline cases of B cell lymphoma and MM.

Suicide is a leading health issue, which substantially contributes to the causes of death worldwide. Personality traits are some of the major risk factors for suicidality. We sought to identify the relationships between personality traits and suicidality by age group. ⋯ Openness (1.25 [1.10-1.43]) had a positive association, and conscientiousness (0.86 [0.75-0.98]) had a negative association with suicidal ideation among the middle-aged group. Neuroticism is the only influencing factor for suicidal attempts among the young adult (1.88 [1.24-2.86]) and older (1.65 [1.24-2.20]) groups. Given the differential associations between personality traits and suicidality by age groups, future studies are needed to comprehensively identify possible roles of personality in suicide by age.

While the role of early mobilization in the immediate postinfarction period has been well demonstrated, little is known in present about the link between early mobilization and reduction of systemic inflammation. At the same time, the impact of early mobilization on regression of left ventricular remodeling has not been elucidated so far. ⋯ In conclusion, REHAB will be the first trial that will elucidate the impact of early mobilization in the first period after AMI, as a first step of a complex cardiac rehabilitation program, to reduce systemic inflammation and prevent deleterious ventricular remodeling in patients who suffered a recent AMI.

Observational Study
Induction of apoptosis by Xiakemycin A in human hepatoma HepG2 cells.
Xiakemycin A (XKA), a new antibiotic in the pyranonaphthoquinone family, shows antitumor activity. However, the type of cell death induced by XKA remains elusive. In this study, we aim to investigate the type of death induced by XKA in hepatic cancer. ⋯ Meanwhile, in apoptotic HepG2 cells induced by XKA, robust increment was noticed in p53 expression, cleavage of PARP, caspase-3, and caspase-9. XKA showed potent inhibitory effects on the proliferation of HepG2 cells. Such phenomenon may be related to activation of the apoptotic pathway.
