Retrospective analysis. ⋯ Surgeons need to pay attention to the position of the aorta in placing a pedicle screw on the right at the periapical level of a left curve either in thoracic or lumbar spine.

Retrospective study. ⋯ According to this analysis, the Bauer and the Bauer modified scores are the most reliable systems for predicting survival. Since the Bauer modified score furthermore consists of only four positive prognostic factors, we emphasize its impact and simplicity.
-
A clinical prospective study. ⋯ The recovery rate of the JOA score in the ADF group was better than that in the LAMP group. The clinical outcomes after LAMP could be influenced by ACS.

Rasch analysis of an outcome tool using data from questionnaires completed by patients with lumbar spinal stenosis. ⋯ Development of a more robust measurement tool for this patient group may be warranted. A new tool may need to include three scales to measure the separate domains of pain severity, neuroischemic symptom severity, and physical function.
-
A prospective, randomized laboratory investigation. ⋯ The results indicated that minocycline administration improved hind-limb motor function and attenuated gray and white matter injury and microglial activation after spinal cord ischemia in rats.
