Multicenter Study
Risk Factors for Cage Migration Following Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion Combined with Posterior Instrumentation: A Multicenter Retrospective Study of 983 Cases.
A multicenter retrospective study. ⋯ We identified risk factors for LCM after LLIF combined with posterior instrumentation. To avoid this complication, it is important to select the appropriate cage sizes and enhance posterior fixation for at-risk patients.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Longitudinal Relationship between Reduced Modic change Edema and Disability and Pain in Patients with Chronic Low Back Pain.
Secondary analyses of a randomized trial [Antibiotics In Modic changes (MCs) study]. ⋯ Level 3.
-
Retrospective multicenter study. ⋯ Over the past 15 years of CP scoliosis surgery, surgical blood loss, transfusion volumes, duration of postoperative intubation, and pelvic fusion rates have decreased. However, the degree of radiographic correction, the rates of surgical and medical complications (including infection), and health-related quality of life measures have broadly remained constant.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Intravenous Ketorolac Substantially Reduces Opioid Use and Length of Stay After Lumbar Fusion: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
A randomized, double-blinded, placebo-controlled trial. ⋯ By reducing opioid use, improving pain control on postoperative day 1, and decreasing LOS without increases in complications or pseudarthrosis, IV-K may be an important component of "enhanced recovery after surgery" protocols.
