The purpose of this study was to assess the importance of relative value unit (RVU) flow and other factors in report turnaround time (TAT) in emergency radiologic operations. ⋯ RVU flow 60, RVU flow 30, specific attending radiologist, and presence of a resident are significantly correlated with radiology report TAT. RVU flow should be considered when evaluating radiologist and overall system performance with respect to report TAT.

Sex Differences in Radiologist Salary in U.S. Public Medical Schools.
The purpose of this study was to evaluate salary differences between male and female academic radiologists at U.S. medical schools. ⋯ Among academic radiologists employed at 24 U.S. public medical schools, male and female radiologists had similar annual salaries both before and after adjusting for several variables known to influence salary among academic physicians.

Comparative StudySemiquantitative Assessment of 18F-FDG Uptake in the Normal Skeleton: Comparison Between PET/CT and Time-of-Flight Simultaneous PET/MRI.
Differences in the attenuation correction methods used in PET/CT scanners versus the newly introduced whole-body simultaneous PET/MRI reportedly result in differences in standardized uptake values (SUVs) in the normal skeleton. The aim of the study was to compare the semiquantitative FDG uptake in the normal skeleton using time-of-flight (TOF) PET/MRI versus PET/CT with and without TOF. ⋯ In the normal skeleton, SUVmax and SUVmean showed high correlations between PET/MRI and PET/CT. The MRI attenuation correction used in TOF PET/MRI provides reliable semiquantitative measurements in the normal skeleton.

Split-Bolus Injection Producing Simultaneous Late Arterial and Portal Venous Phases in CT Enterography: Preliminary Results.
The purpose of this article is to evaluate the image quality and added value of split-bolus contrast agent injection combining late arterial and portal venous phases compared with single-bolus contrast agent injection late arterial phase CT enterography. ⋯ Split-bolus CT enterography led to improved CNR (47%) compared with single-bolus CT enterography and significantly increased the detection rate of mucosal hyperenhancement in patients with active inflammatory bowel disease.

Radiographic Findings of Distressed Venous Stents and Inferior Vena Cava Filters: Clinical Implications.
The objective of our study was to describe an association between the radiographic appearance of distressed intravascular implants and venous stenosis or occlusion and to determine the success of reparative endovascular procedures. ⋯ Distressed intravascular implants are associated with high-grade venous stenosis or occlusion. Reparative interventions are usually technically successful.
