Meta AnalysisSystematic Review and Meta-Analysis on the Value of Chest CT in the Diagnosis of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19): Sol Scientiae, Illustra Nos.
OBJECTIVE. The purpose of this article is to systematically review and meta-analyze the diagnostic accuracy of chest CT in detecting coronavirus disease (COVID-19). MATERIALS AND METHODS. ⋯ Chest CT appears to have a relatively high sensitivity in symptomatic patients at high risk of COVID-19, but it cannot exclude COVID-19. Specificity is poor. These data, along with other local factors such as COVID-19 prevalence, available real-time reverse transcriptase-polymerase chain reaction tests, staff, hospital, and CT scanning capacity, can be useful to healthcare professionals and policy makers to decide on the utility of chest CT for COVID-19 detection in the hospital setting.

Meta AnalysisDiagnostic Outcome of Image-Guided Percutaneous Core Needle Biopsy of Sclerotic Bone Lesions: A Meta-Analysis.
This systematic review and meta-analysis aimed to evaluate the diagnostic outcome (diagnostic yield and accuracy) of image-guided percutaneous core needle biopsy (CNB) of sclerotic bone lesions. ⋯ In conclusion, we determined that image-guided percutaneous CNB of sclerotic bone lesions is an accurate diagnostic technique with good diagnostic yield, particularly when the battery-powered bone biopsy system is used.

Meta AnalysisDiagnostic Performance of Monoexponential DWI Versus Diffusion Kurtosis Imaging in Prostate Cancer: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
We aimed to compare the diagnostic performance of monoexponential DWI and diffusion kurtosis imaging (DKI) for the detection of prostate cancer (PCa). ⋯ Monoexponential DWI and DKI showed comparable diagnostic accuracies for PCa. DKI is a potentially helpful method for the diagnosis of PCa. Therefore, on the basis of current evidence, we do not recommend including DKI in routine clinical assessment of PCa for the moment.

Meta AnalysisJOURNAL CLUB: Extracolonic Findings at CT Colonography: Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis.
The purpose of this study was to perform a systematic review and meta-analysis of published studies on CT colonography (CTC) in which extracolonic findings were assessed. ⋯ With use of the more robust C-RADS classification, potentially important extracolonic findings at CTC occur in less than 3% of cohorts without symptoms. For all extracolonic findings, the rate of suggested or recommended additional workup is approximately 8% but decreases to 4% for potentially important extracolonic findings.

Review Meta AnalysisA Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis of Diagnostic Performance of MRI for Evaluation of Acute Appendicitis.
A meta-analysis was performed to determine the accuracy of MRI in the diagnosis of acute appendicitis in the general population and in subsets of pregnant patients and children. ⋯ MRI has a high accuracy for the diagnosis of acute appendicitis, for a wide range of patients, and may be acceptable for use as a first-line diagnostic test.
