Percutaneous screw fixation of acetabular roof fractures by radiologists under CT and fluoroscopy guidance.
The aim of this study was to evaluate CT- and fluoroscopy-guided percutaneous screw fixation by radiologists in the management of acetabular roof fractures. ⋯ The results of our study showed that nondisplaced acetabular roof fractures could be successfully treated by a minimally invasive technique with an excellent long-term outcome.

Relationship between imaging biomarkers of stage I cervical cancer and poor-prognosis histologic features: quantitative histogram analysis of diffusion-weighted MR images.
The purpose of this study was to determine whether histogram analysis of apparent diffusion coefficient (ADC) values from diffusion-weighted MRI can be used to differentiate cervical tumors according to their histologic characteristics. ⋯ Median ADC is lower in poorly compared with well or moderately differentiated tumors, while lower histogram-positive skew in adenocarcinoma compared with squamous cell carcinoma is likely to reflect the glandular content of adenocarcinoma.

Preoperative breast MRI can reduce the rate of tumor-positive resection margins and reoperations in patients undergoing breast-conserving surgery.
In breast cancer patients eligible for breast-conserving surgery, we evaluated whether the information provided by preoperative MRI of the breast would result in fewer tumor-positive resection margins and fewer reoperations. ⋯ Preoperative breast MRI can substantially decrease the rate of tumor-positive resection margins and reoperations in breast cancer patients eligible for breast-conserving surgery.

ReviewBreast imaging of the pregnant and lactating patient: imaging modalities and pregnancy-associated breast cancer.
The purpose of this article is to review key clinical, histologic, and imaging features of pregnancy-associated breast cancer. A discussion of imaging modalities, including mammography, ultrasound, and MRI, and imaging-based interventions available for evaluating this population is provided. ⋯ Successful detection of pregnancy-associated breast cancer requires knowledge of key clinical and imaging features of pregnancy-associated breast carcinoma and selection of the appropriate imaging workup and intervention.

Benefit of computer-aided detection analysis for the detection of subsolid and solid lung nodules on thin- and thick-section CT.
The objective of our study was to evaluate the impact of computer-aided detection (CAD) on the identification of subsolid and solid lung nodules on thin- and thick-section CT. ⋯ Detection of GGO nodules and solid nodules is significantly improved with CAD. When interpretation is performed on thick sections, the benefit is greater when CAD marks are reviewed on thin rather than thick sections.
