Meta AnalysisEffects of Breathing Exercises on Patients With Lung Cancer.
To evaluate the effects of breathing exercises on dyspnea, six-minute walk distance (6MWD), anxiety, and depression in patients with lung cancer. ⋯ Breathing exercises can be considered as a conventional rehabilitation nursing technique in clinical practice, and nurses should be aware of the importance of breathing exercises.

ReviewChemotherapy-Induced Peripheral Neuropathy Assessment Tools: A Systematic Review
Chemotherapy-induced peripheral neuropathy (CIPN) is a dose-limiting chemotherapy toxicity, which has a long-lasting effect and decreases quality of life. Although several tools have been developed to detect CIPN, the study quality, psychometric properties, and practicality of CIPN assessment tools have not been systematically reviewed. . ⋯ Routine assessment of CIPN and choosing appropriate assessment tools are imperative. The FACT/GOG-Ntx and TNS are recommended for clinical use.

ReviewShared decision making among individuals with cancer in non-Western cultures: a literature review.
To examine the extent to which shared decision making is a concept addressed within the published, empirical oncology decision-making research originating from non-Western countries from January 2000 to January 2012 and provide an overview of the outcomes of this research. ⋯ Shared decision making may be new to patients from non-Western cultures, necessitating assessment, education, and support. Non-Western patients may value having family and friends accompany them when a cancer diagnosis is given, but assumptions based on culture alone should not be made. Nurses should determine patient preferences for diagnosis disclosure, information, and participation in decision making.

Review Meta AnalysisGinger as an antiemetic modality for chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting: a systematic review and meta-analysis.
To evaluate the effect of ginger as an antiemetic modality for the control of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting (CINV). ⋯ Although ginger is known as a traditional antiemetic, current evidence does not support the effect of ginger in CINV control. The findings of this study inform healthcare providers that its effectiveness remains to be established from methodologically rigorous future trials.
