EditorialPatients as Partners in Research: A Practical Example of How Researchers Are Contributing to the Patient-Partnership Revolution.
Every musculoskeletal pain condition and rehabilitation experience is different. That is why listening to, and truly collaborating with, people who experience pain is imperative in research and, ultimately, clinical management of musculoskeletal pain. ⋯ They aim to encourage researchers to foster patient partnership in musculoskeletal research and share with potential patient partners how patients were engaged in their research. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2020;50(7):347-349. doi:10.2519/jospt.2020.0105.

EditorialOvercoming Overuse: Improving Musculoskeletal Health Care.
This is the first article in a series on "Overcoming Overuse" in musculoskeletal health care. Overuse is the use of services that are unlikely to improve patient outcomes, result in more harm than benefit, and would not be desired by an informed patient. ⋯ We focus on strategies to promote guideline-concordant care in rehabilitation practice and strategies to overcome overuse. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2020;50(3):113-115. doi:10.2519/jospt.2020.0102.

EditorialPatients as Partners in Research: It's the Right Thing to Do.
The health research landscape is changing, and it is time for the Journal of Orthopaedic & Sports Physical Therapy (JOSPT) community to foster authentic opportunities for patient engagement in musculoskeletal research and practice. Although authentic engagement has challenges, the benefits are well worth the investment of time and energy to overcome these challenges and improve the quality of physical therapy research. In this editorial, the authors outline 3 steps JOSPT is taking to promote and support patient partnership in musculoskeletal research. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2019;49(9):623-626. doi:10.2519/jospt.2019.0106.

JOSPT Editor Steven J. Kamper introduces the "Evidence in Practice" series, which aims to help practicing physical therapists build expertise in understanding research. Each article will focus on one feature of the research process and explain the basics concisely in nontechnical language. ⋯ The focus will be on clinical research, as opposed to basic discovery research, to reflect the core purpose and readership of the Journal. It is our hope that Evidence in Practice becomes a valuable resource for clinicians attempting to meet the challenge of integrating research evidence into their care delivery. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2018;48(6):429. doi:10.2519/jospt.2018.0105.

EditorialMusculoskeletal Pain in Children and Adolescents: A Way Forward.
There are substantial gaps in our understanding of musculoskeletal pain in children and adolescents. While there are challenges to performing research in this space, the prevalence, burden, and lack of available evidence to inform clinical practice mean that overcoming these challenges is important. The editors see the collection of work in this special issue as a step in the right direction. J Orthop Sports Phys Ther 2017;47(10):702-704. doi:10.2519/jospt.2017.0109.
