Elevated intracranial pressure (ICP) is defined as a cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) opening pressure (OP) greater than 25 cmH2O. When a diagnostic lumbar puncture is performed it is useful to estimate also intracranial pressure. To do this it is required a presence of pressure gauges, which are currently the gold standard, not available in most resource-constrained contexts. ⋯ Analysis through ANOVA documented an F of 355.301 with p < 0.01 and Dubin Watson of 1.642. The analysis through ROC showed an AUC of 0.980, with a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 91% if chosen as a limit, 29 drops in 30 seconds (Youden Index of 0.9140). Therefore, we have concluded, that although there are several precautions, like patient's position, it is technically feasible to indirectly estimate cerebrospinal fluid pressure with good accuracy by counting the drops of cerebrospinal fluid flowing from a 22 G spinal needle.

Case Reports
Abiotrophia defectiva triple threat: A rare case of infective spondylodiscitis, endocarditis, and brain abscess.
Abiotrophia defectiva is a pathogen of the oral, gastrointestinal, and urinary tracts that can cause significant systemic disease with uniquely negative blood cultures depending on the growth medium. Prior cases note possible seeding from relatively common procedures such as routine dental work and prostate biopsies, however case literature describes prior infectious complications to include infective endocarditis, brain abscess formation, and spondylodiscitis. ⋯ This is the only cases noted in literature with all three infection locations with dual risk factors of dental and prostate procedures prior to symptom onset. This case highlights the multifocal illness that can complicate Abiotrophia defectiva infections, and the importance of thorough ED evaluation and multiservice approach for consultation and treatment.

Observational Study
Risk factors for recurrence of suicide attempt via overdose: A prospective observational study.
Although the prevalence of drug overdose has gradually increased worldwide, the risk factors associated with the recurrence of suicide attempts via drug overdose have not been well elucidated. In this study, we investigated the clinical course of patients with drug overdose and whether or not patients reattempted suicide via overdose, using telephone interviews, to evaluate the risk factors associated with overdose recurrence. ⋯ A history of schizophrenia was an independent risk factor for the recurrence of overdose, and the presence of a cohabitant was significantly associated with a lower risk of recurrence. Large-scale, long-term studies are required to confirm the results of this study.

The objective of our research is to evaluate and compare the performance of ChatGPT, Google Bard, and medical students in performing START triage during mass casualty situations. ⋯ Google Bard was found to be superior to ChatGPT in correctly performing mass casualty incident triage. Google Bard achieved an accuracy of 60%, while chatGPT only achieved an accuracy of 26.67%. This difference was statistically significant (p = 0.002).

Proper pain in acute scapular fractures can be challenging to achieve due to their anatomy and location. While the current mainstay of treatment relies on opioids, the Rhomboid Intercostal Block (RIB) has been utilized for anesthesia to effectively treat pain for scapular fractures. However, it has not yet been utilized in the emergency department (ED). ⋯ The RIB demonstrated successful pain management in the ED. Although hopeful, further research is needed to understand limitations, potential side effects, length of pain control, and overall clinical outcomes of the RIB in the ED.
