Chronic postmastectomy pain syndrome (PMPS) has a considerable negative impact on the quality of life of breast cancer patients. ⋯ Perioperative oral pregabalin 75 mg twice daily, starting at the morning of surgery and continued for one week, could reduce the frequency of postmastectomy pain syndrome.

Randomized Controlled TrialConcordance between Proxy Level of Care Preference and Advance Directives among Nursing Home Residents with Advanced Dementia: A Cluster Randomized Clinical Trial.
Care consistent with goals is the desired outcome of advance care planning (ACP). ⋯ Better alignment between preferences for comfort-focused care and advance directives is needed in advanced dementia. An ACP video may help achieve that goal.
