Circulating lncRNA IFNG-AS1 expression correlates with increased disease risk, higher disease severity and elevated inflammation in patients with coronary artery disease.
This study aimed to investigate the associations of circulating long, non-coding (lncRNA) IFNG-AS1, lncRNA ANRIL and lncRNA ITSN1 relative expressions with disease risk, severity and inflammatory cytokines levels in coronary artery disease (CAD) patients. ⋯ Circulating lncRNA IFNG-AS1 expression correlates with increased disease risk, higher disease severity and elevated inflammation in CAD patients.

Clinical relevance of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ gene polymorphisms with sepsis.
Peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor-γ (PPARγ) is a regulator of inflammation. This study aimed to explore associations between PPARγ gene single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) and susceptibility to and clinical outcome of sepsis in the North China Han population. ⋯ No mutation was correlated with septic shock or death. PPARγ gene polymorphisms may play a role in the occurrence and progression of sepsis in the North China Han population.

Rapid on-site evaluation of routine biochemical parameters to predict right ventricular dysfunction in and the prognosis of patients with acute pulmonary embolism upon admission to the emergency room.
Patients with acute pulmonary embolism(APE)who present with right ventricular dysfunction (RVD) have a worse prognosis. This study aimed to evaluate the value of routine biochemical parameters in predicting RVD and 30-day mortality in patients with APE. ⋯ The rapid on-site evaluation of routine biochemical parameters, including NLR, cTnI, and NT-proBNP levels, and the formula developed using these parameters are valuable for predicting RVD and 30-day mortality in patients with APE.
