Patients with preoperative low left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) are known to be associated with high morbidities and mortality in cardiac surgery. Videolaryngoscopy versus direct laryngoscopy for nasotracheal intubation: A systematic review and meta-analysis of randomised controlled trials.
Although routine videolaryngoscopy does not improve overall success rate of adult nasal intubation, it does improve first pass success, laryngeal visualization and shortens intubation time.
