The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effectiveness of multilevel Botulinum Toxin A (BTX-A) injection, as part of an integrated approach, for the treatment of spasticity in non-ambulatory young children with diplegic cerebral palsy (CP). ⋯ Multilevel BTX-A injection, as part of an integrated approach, can be used for focal treatment of spasticity, especially of hamstring and gastrocnemius muscles, in non-ambulatory young children with CP GMFCS level IV.

Low serum albumin concentration is associated with poor health outcomes, but its relationship with the risk of fractures has not been reliably quantified. We aimed to assess the prospective association of serum albumin with the risk of fractures in a general population. ⋯ In middle-aged Caucasian men, low serum albumin is associated with an increased risk of future fractures. The potential relevance of serum albumin concentrations in fracture prevention and prediction deserves further evaluation.

To describe a case of likely etoricoxib-induced severe thrombocytopenia. ⋯ The prevalence of thrombocytopenia induced by etoricoxib should be studied as it may not be very rare.

The aim of this study was to assess the epidemiological, clinical, endoscopic, and pathohistological characteristics of pediatric eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) in Serbia. ⋯ An increase in the incidence of EoE in Serbian children is evident. The biopsy rate in children with nonspecific and reflux symptoms should be increased, as well as the number of biopsy samples for the detection of subepithelial fibrosis. In immunocompetent children with infectious esophagitis, EoE should be suspected and endoscopy may be recommended after successful treatment of infection.

Crestal Bone Loss Around Submerged and Non-Submerged Dental Implants in Individuals with Type-2 Diabetes Mellitus: A 7-Year Prospective Clinical Study.
In establishing an evidence-based rationale for the optimal use of implant therapy in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), it is essential to first understand the impact of glycemic control on early healing and the success of dental implants. The objective of this study was to evaluate crestal bone loss (CBL) and stability around submerged and non-submerged dental implants in Saudi patients with well- and poorly controlled T2DM. ⋯ Poorly controlled T2DM patients present worse peri-implant bone outcomes as compared to patients with well-controlled T2DM. We suggest that the predictability of successful dental implant therapy outcomes depends on the maintenance of optimal haemoglobin A1c levels.
