Objective: To investigate the effect of different bladder filling states on positioning errors in radiotherapy for cervical cancer and obtain the reference range of bladder filling consistency during radiotherapy. Methods: Patients who underwent postoperative radiotherapy for cervical cancer in Nantong Tumor Hospital from October 2018 to December 2019 were selected. According to the bladder filling deviation, they were divided into group A1 (deviation < 20%) and group B1 (deviation ≥ 20%). ⋯ Conclusion: In patients with cervical cancer fixed in the supine position, a bladder capacity deviation <20% is easier to achieve excellent positioning with, and it can better control the positioning error of radiotherapy and ensure the positioning accuracy of dose distribution to the target area. It can also achieve good tumor treatment effects. This range can be used as a reference for bladder filling consistency in patients with cervical cancer undergoing radiotherapy.

Clinical value of serum miR-1-3p as a potential circulating biomarker for abdominal aortic aneurysm.
Although abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) is associated with life-threatening complications, there are still limited reliable biomarkers for diagnostic purpose. MicroRNAs (miRNAs) have been proposed as the potential diagnostic and risk stratification markers of AAA patients, and we aim to evaluate the serum level of miR-1-3p and its diagnostic value in AAA. ⋯ MiR-1-3p can be used as a promising circulating biomarker in the development of AAA, and it may participate in multiple biological processes to play a crucial role in AAA pathogenesis.

Most infectious diseases are caused by viruses, fungi, bacteria and parasites. Their ability to easily infect humans and trigger large-scale epidemics makes them a public health concern. Methods for early detection of these diseases have been developed; however, they are hindered by the absence of a unified, interoperable and reusable model. This study seeks to create a holistic and real-time model for swift, preliminary detection of infectious diseases using symptoms and additional clinical data. ⋯ The graph-based MLP and RF models effectively diagnosed influenza and hepatitis, respectively. This underlines the potential of graph data science in enhancing ML model performance and uncovering concealed relationships in the MKG.

Obesity, particularly excessive body fat, is an established risk factor and substantial prognostic determinant in breast cancer. Recent studies suggested that diet-related inflammation plays a key role in obesity. This study aimed to determine the association between energy-adjusted dietary inflammatory index (E-DII) and body composition, particularly body fat percentage, among patients with newly diagnosed breast cancer. ⋯ A higher E-DII was associated with increased body fat percentage, suggesting the potential of advocating anti-inflammatory diet to combat obesity among newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
