Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter StudyHereditary angioedema, emergency management of attacks by a call center.
Hereditary angiœdema (HAE) is a rare autosomal dominant disease characterized by recurrent, unpredictable, potentially life-threatening swelling. Objective is to assess the management of the acute HAE attacks in the real life setting through a call center in France. ⋯ Use of emergency departments and hospitalizations are reduced by the use of a coordinated national call center in HAE after therapeutic education program that promoted self-administration of specific treatment and use of call to call center.

Multicenter Study Observational StudyVedolizumab is effective and safe in real-life treatment of inflammatory bowel diseases outpatients: A multicenter, observational study in primary inflammatory bowel disease centers.
Italian data currently available in managing ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) patients with vedolizumab (VDZ) are coming just from secondary and tertiary centers. The present study aimed to assess the real-life efficacy and safety of VDZ to achieve remission in inflammatory bowel diseases (IBD) outpatients in primary gastroenterology centers. ⋯ VDZ is effective and safe in IBD outpatients, especially in UC patients.

Multicenter StudyExternal validation of the CACE-HF risk score for mortality in patients with heart failure.
To validate externally the CACE-HF clinical prediction rule, which predicts 1-year mortality in patients with heart failure (HF). ⋯ The results of the external validation of the CACE-HF risk score show that although the capacity for discrimination was slightly lower than in the derivation cohort, the calibration was excellent. This tool, therefore, can assist in decision-making in the management of these patients.

Multicenter StudyBody mass index as a driver of selection of biologic therapy in rheumatoid arthritis. Results from the US-CLARA study.
Body mass index (BMI) demonstrated to influence the clinical response to different drugs in rheumatoid arthritis (RA). The aim of this study was to investigate the role of BMI in the achievement of remission in active RA patients starting the treatment with abatacept. ⋯ BMI does not influence the abatacept response in RA patients with active disease. During abatacept treatment, the clinical response can be achieved despite a condition of overweight or obesity.

Multicenter Study Comparative StudyDelirium in patients with dementia and in children: Overlap of symptoms profile and possible role for future diagnosis.
Delirium in the extremes of the age spectrum may show similarities in presentations, and these similarities may provide information to develop tools for the diagnosis of delirium superimposed on dementia (DSD). We sought to investigate the symptom profile and subtypes of delirium in patients with dementia, and in infants and preschool children. ⋯ The study reports similarities in the symptoms profile of delirium in a cohort of patients with dementia and delirium, and in infants and preschool-aged children with delirium. These preliminary findings might be informative to design future studies adapting delirium assessments used in in infants and preschool-aged children to patients with dementia, especially in the moderate to severe stages.
