Results of primary radial corrective osteotomy in Madelung's deformity.
The purpose of this study was the evaluation of surgical outcomes in a series of wrists with Madelung's deformity treated with radial corrective osteotomy. We hypothesize that this surgical technique is a suitable and safe way of treatment. ⋯ Radial corrective osteotomy was a suitable treatment of Madelung's deformity in our collective, although surgical outcomes are not yet fully satisfying.

Trans-fracture approach for ORIF of coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus.
Open reduction and internal fixation (ORIF) of comminuted coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus is challenging. When a concomitant lateral condyle fracture is present, it may be used for a trans-fracture approach to facilitate exposure and fracture reduction. This study aimed to investigate the frequency of lateral condyle fractures in coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus and analyze fracture reduction, fracture union and clinical results following ORIF through a trans-fracture approach. ⋯ Lateral condyle fractures are present in about one third of coronal shear fractures of the distal humerus. This injury can be used for a trans-fracture approach to facilitate exposure and to reliably achieve anatomic fracture reduction.

A propensity score-matched comparison between Mako robotic arm-assisted system and conventional technique in total hip arthroplasty for patients with osteoarthritis secondary to developmental dysplasia of the hip.
The clinical effectiveness of robotic arm-assisted systems remains unclear for total hip arthroplasty (THA) in patients suffering from osteoarthritis secondary to developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH). ⋯ The robotic arm-assisted system may provide more accurate cup placement in THA for DDH.

Bone filling decreases donor site morbidity after anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction with bone-patellar tendon-bone autografts.
Bone-patellar tendon-bone (BTB) autograft remains the most widely used graft source for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction (ACLR). The drawback associated with BTB is increased donor-site morbidity, such as anterior knee pain. The purpose of this study was to evaluate and compare anterior knee pain after refilling the patella bony defect with bone substitute. ⋯ Retrospective study-III.

Anterior mid-portion capsular tear with Bankart lesion in recurrent anterior shoulder dislocation: outcome report and bone defect evaluation.
This study aimed to report the incidence of anterior mid-portion capsular tears identified during arthroscopic Bankart repair (ABR), the clinical outcomes of repairing this combined lesion, and to evaluate the associated bone defects. ⋯ There was no recurrent shoulder instability after combined arthroscopic repair of capsular and Bankart lesions. There were Rowe score improvements over at least three years of follow-up. Although our case number was small, we found that mid-portion capsular tear occurred in patients over 30 years with multiple recurrent dislocations, with or without small glenoid bone defects, and with axillary pouch disruption on MRA images.
