Internal Limiting Membrane Peeling to Prevent Post-vitrectomy Epiretinal Membrane Development in Retinal Detachment.
To determine the efficacy of internal limiting membrane (ILM) peeling during vitrectomy for rhegmatogenous retinal detachment (RRD) regarding post-vitrectomy epiretinal membrane (ERM) development and visual outcomes. ⋯ ILM peeling without ICG staining during the initial vitrectomy for RRDs may prevent postoperative ERM formation with favorable visual outcomes.

To analyze the morphologic features of peripapillary staphylomas associated with high myopia by swept-source optical coherence tomography (OCT). ⋯ Swept-source OCT can detect the slight changes of the sclera and choroid in the area of a peripapillary staphyloma, and we recommend its use in determining the presence of a peripapillary staphyloma.

Clinical Effects and Safety of 3% Diquafosol Ophthalmic Solution for Patients With Dry Eye After Cataract Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
To compare the efficacies and safety profiles of 3% diquafosol and 0.1% sodium hyaluronate in patients with dry eye after cataract surgery. ⋯ Eye drops of 3% diquafosol may be an effective and safe treatment for the management of cataract surgery-induced dry eye aggravation in patients with preexisting dry eye.

To determine predictors of reoperation and abnormal binocularity outcomes (including amblyopia and diplopia) following pediatric strabismus surgery. ⋯ Adjustable sutures were not associated with a lower reoperation rate in children. Younger age, esotropia, hyperopia, and botulinum injection were associated with postoperative abnormal binocularity. Superior oblique surgery and botulinum injection were associated with higher rates of reoperation.

To investigate clinical characteristics of dry eye disease (DED) patients with a chronic pain syndrome. ⋯ In DED patients, chronic pain syndromes are common and are associated with increased severity of DED symptoms across all domains of the OSDI, even though objective ocular surface signs are no worse. In clinical practice, more awareness of chronic pain syndromes might help in understanding the discrepancy between signs and symptoms in DED.
