Prospective, Randomized, Contralateral Eye Comparison of Wavefront-Guided and Wavefront-Optimized Laser in Situ Keratomileusis.
To compare outcomes in wavefront-optimized (WFO) laser in situ keratomileusis (LASIK) to high-resolution wavefront-guided (WFG) LASIK. ⋯ Wavefront-optimized and high-resolution wavefront-guided LASIK achieve excellent visual outcomes. Nonetheless, treatments based on a high-resolution aberrometer appear to offer superior results in some regards.

Early Response to Anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor and Two-Year Outcomes Among Eyes With Diabetic Macular Edema in Protocol T.
Assess associations of 2-year visual acuity (VA) outcomes with VA and optical coherence tomography central subfield thickness (CST) after 12 weeks of anti-vascular endothelial growth factor treatment for diabetic macular edema in DRCR.net Protocol T. ⋯ A suboptimal response at 12 weeks did not preclude meaningful vision improvement (ie, ≥ 10-letter gain) in many eyes at 2 years. Eyes with less than 5-letter gain at 12 weeks often had good VA at 2 years without switching therapies.

Early and Long-Term Responses to Anti-Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor Therapy in Diabetic Macular Edema: Analysis of Protocol I Data.
To determine whether early visual acuity response to ranibizumab in diabetic macular edema is associated with long-term outcome. ⋯ Ranibizumab ± laser therapy resulted in similar rates (∼40%) of suboptimal (<5-letter) and pronounced (≥10-letter) BCVA improvement at 12 weeks. Eyes with suboptimal early BCVA response showed poorer long-term visual outcomes than eyes with pronounced early response (mean improvement 3.0 vs 13.8 letters at 156 weeks).

Clinical Effects and Safety of 3% Diquafosol Ophthalmic Solution for Patients With Dry Eye After Cataract Surgery: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
To compare the efficacies and safety profiles of 3% diquafosol and 0.1% sodium hyaluronate in patients with dry eye after cataract surgery. ⋯ Eye drops of 3% diquafosol may be an effective and safe treatment for the management of cataract surgery-induced dry eye aggravation in patients with preexisting dry eye.

Intraocular pressure and wound status in eyes immediately after scleral tunnel incision and clear corneal incision cataract surgery.
To compare intraocular pressure (IOP) and wound architecture immediately after cataract surgery using a scleral tunnel incision or clear corneal incision. ⋯ IOP was significantly higher immediately after scleral tunnel incision without hydration than after clear corneal incision with hydration, and both incisions closed within 30 minutes postoperatively without leakage based on AS OCT.
