ASSESSMENT OF ALLERGIES TO FOOD AND ADDITIVES IN PATIENTS WITH ANGIOEDEMA, BURNING MOUTH SYNDROME, CHEILITIS, GINGIVOSTOMATITIS, ORAL LICHENOID REACTIONS, AND PERIORAL DERMATITIS.
Oral cavity and perioral area are constantly exposed to a variety of antigens, including food and additives, which have a potential role in the development of different oral mucosal and perioral cutaneous diseases since they can cause hypersensitivity reactions. Oral and perioral diseases mainly include angioedema, burning mouth syndrome, cheilitis, gingivostomatitis, oral lichenoid reactions, and perioral dermatitis. Previous studies were focused on delayed-type oral allergies by performing patch testing but did not include tests for immediate-type allergic reactions. ⋯ Fruits, mushrooms, and vegetables were the most frequent causes of nutritive allergies in oral and perioral diseases. The most commonly identified additive allergens were glutaraldehyde, citric acid, and sodium glutamate. Study results suggest the possible association with nutritive and additive allergies be considered in cases of persistent oral mucosal or perioral skin disease accompanied by respective medical history.

Case ReportsCONCURRENT DEEP VEIN THROMBOSIS AND PULMONARY EMBOLISM ASSOCIATED WITH HYPERTHYROIDISM: A CASE REPORT.
Numerous disorders of coagulation and fibrinolysis have been reported in patients with thyroid diseases, especially with hyperthyroidism. Most articles are focused on deep vein thrombosis risk, however, few of them describe association between hyperthyroidism and pulmonary embolism. ⋯ The potential mechanisms could be endothelial dysfunction, decreased fibrinolytic activity, and increased levels of coagulation factors. Thyroid evaluation should be recommended in patients with unprovoked venous thromboembolic events.

FUNCTIONAL CLASSIFICATION OF CHILDREN WITH CEREBRAL PALSY IN KRAPINA-ZAGORJE COUNTY.
The aim was to study functional abilities and to create functional classification of children with cerebral palsy (CP) in Krapina-Zagorje County, based on the classification of gross and fine motor skills and associated impairments. Classification was performed according to the SCPE (Surveillance of Cerebral Palsy in Europe) criteria. We used standardized and complementary functional classification systems for cerebral palsy to create a functional profile. ⋯ The study also analyzed the associated impairments where higher classification score of motor impairment correlated with the severity of impairment. The results showed that children with dyskinetic CP and severe motor impairment could have mild cognitive impairment. We systematically present the neuropsychological and functional profile according to the CP type.

ISOLATED MATERNAL HYPOTHYROXINEMIA AND ITS PERINATAL OUTCOME IN NORTH MACEDONIA.
Isolated maternal hypothyroxinemia (IMH) is defined as the presence of low maternal total thyroxine (TT4) level in conjunction with normal maternal thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) level. The aim was to investigate whether IMH is associated with adverse pregnancy outcome in North Macedonia. Dried blood spot samples were obtained from 359 pregnant women meeting the inclusion criteria and analyzed for TT4 and TSH. ⋯ Overweight could be a potential risk factor for thyroid dysfunction in pregnant women, and specifically IMH. The worst fetal outcome was seen in IMH mothers examined in second trimester. We found TSH, TT4 and BMI to be strong predictors of perinatal outcomes.

Case ReportsURETERAL TRIPLICATION ACCIDENTALLY FOUND DURING CERVICAL CARCINOMA OPERATION.
Ureteral triplication is a very rare anomaly found in the upper urinary tract. This condition can be connected with a higher incidence of congenital anomalies and predisposition for urinary infections. Operative procedure is considered in cases where symptoms reduce the patient's quality of life. ⋯ The risk of renal failure is usually a deciding factor, which can be found in conditions such as vesicoureteral reflux, obstruction, ureteral ectopy and recurrent infections. Simultaneous treatment of upper and lower urinary tract can be performed. We report a case of a 38-year-old female patient diagnosed with cervical carcinoma, where ureteral triplication was detected incidentally during a radical operative procedure.
