Targeted Muscle Reinnervation Treats Neuroma and Phantom Pain in Major Limb Amputees: A Randomized Clinical Trial.
To compare targeted muscle reinnervation (TMR) to "standard treatment" of neuroma excision and burying into muscle for postamputation pain. ⋯ In this first surgical RCT for the treatment of postamputation pain in major limb amputees, TMR improved PLP and trended toward improved residual limb pain compared with conventional neurectomy.

A Prospective, Randomized Phase II Study of Adjuvant Gemcitabine Versus S-1 After Major Hepatectomy for Biliary Tract Cancer (KHBO 1208): Kansai Hepato-Biliary Oncology Group.
To evaluate each arm independently and compare adjuvant gemcitabine (GEM) and S-1 chemotherapy after major hepatectomy (hemihepatectomy or trisectionectomy) for biliary tract cancer (BTC). ⋯ The comparison of the survival of the 2 groups revealed that adjuvant S-1 therapy may be superior to adjuvant GEM therapy after major hepatectomy for BTC.

Intravenous Patient-controlled Analgesia Versus Thoracic Epidural Analgesia After Open Liver Surgery: A Prospective, Randomized, Controlled, Noninferiority Trial.
We conducted a randomized, controlled, noninferiority trial to investigate if intravenous, multimodal, patient-controlled analgesia (IV-PCA) could be noninferior to multimodal thoracic epidural analgesia (TEA) in patients undergoing open liver surgery. ⋯ IV-PCA was noninferior to TEA for the treatment of postoperative pain in patients undergoing open liver resection.

Microsatellite Instability and Programmed Cell Death-Ligand 1 Expression in Stage II/III Gastric Cancer: Post Hoc Analysis of the CLASSIC Randomized Controlled study.
We investigated microsatellite instability (MSI) status and programed cell death ligand 1 (PD-L1) expression as predictors of prognosis and responsiveness to chemotherapy for stage II/III gastric cancer. ⋯ MSI status and PD-L1 expression are clinically actionable biomarkers for stratifying patients and predicting benefit from adjuvant chemotherapy after D2 gastrectomy for stage II/III gastric cancer.
