The effect of the Watson model-based psycho-educational intervention on preventing postpartum depression.
Psycho-education application is effective in reducing the risk of postpartum depression (PPD) and increasing the level of social support. The quality of care increases with the implementation of Watson's Theory of Human Caring Model (WTHCM)-based care programs to reduce the risk of PPD. ⋯ The Watson's Theory of Human Caring Model-based psycho-educational intervention program decreased women's risk of PPD and increased their social support levels. It is recommended to use approaches that include psycho-educational intervention in postpartum midwifery care.
