Caring for cancer patients during COVID-19 global pandemic: Risk factors and precautionary principle.
The current global pandemic COVID-19 challenges oncologists to reorganise cancer care in order to strikingly reduce hospital visits and admissions. Cancer patients are more susceptible to infections and likely to get severe consequences compared with other patients. ⋯ Here, we discuss the current situations and a roadmap for cancer care during the COVID-19 crisis. In the prevalence of global cancer and higher transmission of pandemic COVID-19, there is an urgent need to realise the effect of SARS-CoV-2 infection and their related life-threatening outcomes specifically for cancer patients.

Importance of COX-2 Expression in Wilms' Tumor: A Preliminary Study.
In Wilms' tumour (WT), secondary malignancies caused by the side effects of intensive treatments remain one of the important problems. Therefore, there is a need for new studies to identify low- and high-risk groups for WT and to improve the treatment regimens of children in the low-risk group. In our study, we aimed to determine the prognostic significance of the cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) biomarker in WT. ⋯ In our study, no significant relationship was found between significant prognostic parameters and COX-2 expression. Since COX-2 expression was observed in almost all patients, we consider that the COX-2 pathway is effective during the development phase of WT.

Retracted PublicationClinical characteristics and outcomes of COVID-19 pneumonia patients from an intensive care unit in Faisalabad, Pakistan.
To describe the clinical characteristics and outcomes of adult patients with severe COVID-19, with the exploration of risk factors for mortality in the hospital. ⋯ The mortality rate is high in critically ill patients with COVID-19. Lower Glasgow Coma Scale, higher body weight and decreased lymphocyte count appear to be potential risk factors for the death of patients with COVID-19 in the ICU.

Meta AnalysisEffect of verbal counseling on metered-dose inhaler use and lung function test among asthmatic patients: A meta-analysis.
The main cause of poor asthma control is mostly related to the inability of the asthmatic subjects to use their metred-dose inhaler (pMDI) correctly. The present study aimed to evaluate the role of contentious pMDI verbal-counselling on the pMDI inhalation technique and pulmonary functions of asthmatics. ⋯ Based on this meta-analysis, Continuous pMDI verbal counselling, at every possible opportunity, is a must since lung functions and pMDI inhalation technique improvements were observed with continuous pMDI verbal counselling.

Multicenter StudyBaseline CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score and prognosis in octogenarians with Non-ST segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome.
CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score is widely used to predict thromboembolic risk in patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AF). We sought to study if this score predicts outcomes in elderly patients with Non-ST segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndromes (NSTEACS). ⋯ A CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score > 4 is present in half of octogenarians with NSTEACS and is associated with poorer outcomes. However, it is not an independent predictor of events and should not replace recommended tools for risk prediction in this setting.
