Multicenter StudyBaseline CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score and prognosis in octogenarians with Non-ST segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndrome.
CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score is widely used to predict thromboembolic risk in patients with Atrial Fibrillation (AF). We sought to study if this score predicts outcomes in elderly patients with Non-ST segment Elevation Acute Coronary Syndromes (NSTEACS). ⋯ A CHA2 DS2 -VASc Score > 4 is present in half of octogenarians with NSTEACS and is associated with poorer outcomes. However, it is not an independent predictor of events and should not replace recommended tools for risk prediction in this setting.

Multicenter StudyFever of unknown origin (FUO) on a land on cross-roads between Asia and Europa; a multicenter study from Turkey.
The differential diagnosis of Fever of Unknown Origin (FUO) is still a major clinical challenge despite the advances in diagnostic procedures. In this multicentre study, we aimed to reveal FUO aetiology and factors influencing the final diagnosis of FUO in Turkey. ⋯ Brucellosis, extrapulmonary tuberculosis and infective endocarditis remain to be the most frequent infective causes of FUO in Turkey. Solid tumours and lymphomas, AOSD and thyroiditis are the other common diseases. The aetiological spectrum did not differ in elderly people, on the other hand, infections were more common in Eastern Turkey. A considerable amount of aetiology remained undiagnosed despite the state-of-the-art technology in healthcare services.

Multicenter StudyThe effect of secukinumab treatment on inflammatory parameters in patients with psoriasis: A multicentre restrospective study.
Psoriasis is a common chronic inflammatory disease of the skin with remission and relapses. The aim of this study was to investigate the change in inflammatory parameters such as neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR), platelet/lymphocyte ratio (PLR) and mean platelet volume (MPV) in patients receiving secukinumab treatment for psoriasis vulgaris (PV). ⋯ In conclusion, it can be concluded that parameters such as NLR, PLR and MPV are not suitable parameters for monitoring the effects of secukinumab treatment on inflammation.

Multicenter StudyExternal validation and comparison of current scoring systems in retrograde intrarenal surgery: Multi-institutional study with 949 patients.
To externally validate and compare Resorlu-Unsal stone score (RUSS), modified Seoul National University Renal Stone Complexity Score(S-ReSC), Ito's nomogram, and Retrograde Intra-Renal Surgery (R.I.R.S.) scoring systems for predicting capabilities of both the stone-free status and complications in a multi-institutional study. ⋯ All four scoring systems (RUSS, modified S-ReSC, Ito's nomogram, and R.I.R.S.) could predict stone-free status after f-URS, however, the AUC values are not satisfactory in our large patient cohort. Although these scoring systems were not developed for predicting post-operative complications, they were associated with complications in our study. However, these four scoring systems have some significant limitations. The ideal scoring system is yet to be developed.
