Local Fibrinolytic Therapy for Intraventricular Hemorrhage: A Meta-Analysis of Randomized controlled trials.
The safety and efficacy of intraventricular fibrinolysis (IVF) in patients with intraventricular hemorrhage (IVH) are unclear. We aimed to determine these issues and to evaluate whether there are differences between recombinant tissue-plasminogen activator (rt-PA) and urokinase according to subgroup analyses. ⋯ Although the use of IVF in patients with IVH appears generally safe, its benefit is limited to a reduction in mortality at the expense of an increased number of survivors with moderately-severe to severe disability. Subgroup analyses do not suggest an advantage of IVF with urokinase over rt-PA.

Endovascular Mechanical Thrombectomy for Acute Middle Cerebral Artery M2 Segment Occlusion: A Systematic Review.
The benefit of endovascular mechanical thrombectomy (EMT) for acute distal occlusions of the middle cerebral artery M2 segment is incompletely defined. The aim of this systematic review is to analyze the recent literature regarding EMT for acute M2 occlusions. ⋯ EMT for acute M2 occlusion affords functional independence to most patients, with a modest rate of symptomatic ICH. However, compared with the natural history of distal MCA occlusions, the benefit of M2 thrombectomy using stent retriever or direct aspiration techniques remains unclear.

Spinal arteriovenous malformation associated with Parkes Weber syndrome: Report of two cases and literature review.
To present 2 cases of Parkes Weber syndrome (PWS) with spinal arteriovenous malformation (AVM) and discuss the radiologic features and clinical treatment with literature review. ⋯ Awareness of the association between spinal AVM and PWS is essential for radiographic screening of spinal lesions with myelopathy or intracranial subarachnoid hemorrhage. Clinical therapeutic strategy should be multidisciplinary and individualized on the basis of vasculature and lesion behavior.

Rhabdoid Meningioma Arising Concurrent in Pulmonary and Intracranial with a Rare Malignant Clinical Progression: Case Report and Literature Review.
Rhabdoid meningioma (RM) is an unusual variant of meningioma, classified as World Health Organization grade III. Although its recurrence is common, extracranial metastasis is rare and usually misdiagnosed. The transfer mechanism and pathway are ambiguous; once the metastasis occurs, the prognosis is poor, and there is no effective management. The present case is the first report of concurrent intracranial and pulmonary RM with rapid and widespread metastasis. We hope this report can serve as a helpful reference for clinicians and radiologists. ⋯ Intracranial RM is a relatively rare tumor with the potential for wide intracranial and extracranial transfer. Cystic components and necrosis can be seen in this type of meningioma. Metastatic meningioma should be kept in mind when dealing with isolated lung lesions. This case report may serve as a helpful reference for clinicians and radiologists.

Medial Tentorial Dural Arteriovenous Fistulae Embolization: Single Experience With Embolic Liquid Polymer Squid And Review Of The Literature.
Tentorial dural arteriovenous fistulas (DAVFs) are uncommon, complex fistulas located between the leaves of the tentorium cerebelli with a specific anatomic and clinical presentation characterized by high hemorrhagic risk. We present a rare case of a medial tentorial DAVF successfully managed via transarterial embolization using SQUID liquid polymer. ⋯ Medial tentorial DAVFs are considered the most complex DAVFs because of their location and extensive vascular supply. Our literature review focused on endovascular treatment of tentorial DAVFs to highlight the usefulness of new embolic agents in management of these diseases. To our knowledge, we report the first successful use of SQUID liquid polymer in management of a tentorial DAVF.
