Efficacy of Tailored Treatment Strategies for Chronic Subdural Hematoma Based on Hematoma Characteristics and Volume: A Retrospective observational Study.
We assessed the effectiveness of a treatment strategy based on hematoma characteristics and volume. ⋯ Chronic subdural hematoma treatment strategies that consider to hematoma volume and characteristics have the potential to identify and reduce treatment rates in cases with high retreatment rates.

Caregivers' Perspective and Burden of The End-of-Life Phase of Patients With Glioblastoma: A Multicenter Retrospective Study.
Glioblastoma is the most common aggressive primary brain tumor in adults. Changes in cognition, personality, and behavior of patients as well as side effects of treatments cause unique challenges for providing care and may impact caregiver burden in different ways. ⋯ The end-of-life phases of patients with glioblastoma represent a critical factor that significantly affects not only the patient but also the caregiver's burden, caregiving tasks, and time. A multidisciplinary support program is needed to address and improve caregivers' burden.

The HSACAT Project: A Prospective Multicentre Observational Study of Spontaneous Subarachnoid Haemorrhage in Catalonia (Spain).
Incidence, clinical course, and fatality of spontaneous subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH) are evolving, with prevalence of risk factors diminishing, implementation of early detection programs and strategies for priority aneurysm exclusion, technical refinement with less invasive procedures, and improvements in neurocritical care. Modern epidemiological and prognostic data are lacking, especially in southern European and Mediterranean populations. ⋯ Even when most patients received timely aneurysm treatment, case fatality rates were considerably high. Data provided by the HSACat project may have public health effects and be used to guide prevention programs and screening strategies.

Lumbar Endoscopic Unilateral Laminectomy for Bilateral Decompression in Degenerative Spondylolisthesis.
Degenerative spondylolisthesis is an important cause of chronic low back pain and radiculopathy in the adult U.S. ⋯ Patients with low-grade degenerative spondylolisthesis causing severe stenosis can safely be treated with lumbar endoscopic unilateral laminectomy for bilateral decompression. A head-to-head trial should be undertaken to provide a higher level of clinical evidence.

Anterior cervical decompression and fusion for neck pain in the patients with cervical spondylosis: pooled results of three prospective cohort studies.
Currently, there is a lack of large-scale prospective cohort data to explore the response of neck pain to anterior cervical decompression and fusion (ACDF). The aim of this study was to investigate whether patients with neck pain can achieve consistent neck pain relief following ACDF regardless of preoperative neurological symptoms and number of surgical segments. ⋯ This study found that ACDF significantly improved neck pain in patients with cervical spondylosis, regardless of preoperative neurological symptoms and number of surgical segments.
