Evaluation of success of stainless steel crowns placed using the hall technique in children with high caries risk: A randomized clinical trial.
This study aimed to compare the clinical efficacy and survival rates of the hall technique (HT), and conventional restoration (CR) for the management of occlusoproximal carious lesions in primary molars. ⋯ HT was a more successful method for managing caries in primary molars than CR, both for symptoms of pulpal disease and longevity of the restorations. HT is a simplified method of managing carious primary molars using SSCs cemented with no local anesthesia, caries removal, or tooth preparation.

Iron Deficiency Anemia in Nigerians with Heart Failure (IDAN-HF): Therapeutic efficacy of iron replacement: An interventional study.
Recent evidence has reported significant improvement in clinical profile, quality of life, and prognosis of heart failure subjects with iron replacement. ⋯ Parenteral iron dextran therapy was fairly tolerated among heart failure subjects. Iron replacement is associated with improved quality of life, better temporal clinical profile, and functional classification among Nigerians with heart failure. Iron replacement therapy can be an additional therapeutic option in heart failure management among Africans to improve prognosis.

Coronary artery bypass surgery without blood transfusion; is it possible?
Coronary artery bypass surgery is the most commonly performed cardiac operation and approximately 40-70% of patients require a blood transfusion despite improvements in cardiac surgical techniques. Some preventive perfusion methods to avoid transfusions are described, such as acute normovolemic hemodilution, retrograde autologous priming, and usage of integrated arterial filter oxygenator. ⋯ Triple combination technique is safe and cost-effective in coronary artery bypass surgery. We think that most of the patients could be operated without blood transfusion with this technique.

Effect of different clinical practices on postoperative pain in permanent mandibular molar teeth with symptomatic apical periodontitis: A randomized controlled clinical trial.
This clinical study aimed to evaluate the effect of different clinical practices with endodontic emergency treatment on postoperative pain in mandibular permanent molar teeth with symptomatic apical periodontitis. ⋯ It was observed that all clinical practices significantly reduced preoperative pain.

The Efficacy of Botulinum Toxin Injection Site in Chronic Anal Fissure Healing.
Chronic anal fissure is a common disease of the anoderm. Botulinum toxin injection has recently been recommended. However, the injection sites are still debatable. ⋯ Even though there was no statistical difference in the long term healing rate between groups 1 and 2, choosing 6 and 12 o'clock alignments of internal sphincter muscle for botox injection is more advantageous than 3 and 9 o'clock alignments in terms of better postoperative pain and lower complication rate in the early period.
