A Prospective Randomized Comparison of INTELLIVENT-ASV and PSV Modes in Terms of Weaning in Intensive Care Patients, Istanbul, Turkiye.
INTELLIVENT-Adaptive Support Ventilation (I-ASV; C6; Hamilton Medical; Bonaduz, Switzerland) is a closed-loop ventilation mode that continuously controls the patient's ventilation and oxygenation. It sets the minute ventilation, PEEP, and oxygen levels based on the targets set by the clinician and on physiological input from the patient. ⋯ I-ASV mode had no effect on weaning duration compared to PSV mode but decreased PEEP, FiO2, Pinsp, and Ppeak values in weaning patients.

Low Pressure versus Standard Pressure Pneumoperitoneum in Laparoscopic Appendectomy: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
The creation of pneumoperitoneum using higher pressure is believed to be associated with increased postoperative abdominal pain. ⋯ The use of low pressure pneumoperitoneum did not reduce the incidence of abdominal pain in patients who had laparoscopic appendectomy. Patients with acute appendicitis can be treated with either low or normal pressure pneumoperitoneum depending on the experience of the surgeon.

Effect of Neurostimulator Usage on Block Success in Costoclavicular Block: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
The need of a neurostimulator for a successful nerve block was questioned in different block types after ultrasound had become standard. ⋯ Neurostimulator use did not affect block success in the CCB. Neurostimulator utilization prolonged block application time explicitly and did not change the complication rate. Ultrasound and injection pressure manometer are sufficient for a safe and successful CCB.

The Effect of Aromatherapy with Lavender Essential Oil on the Sleep and Fatigue Level of Patients with Multiple Sclerosis in Turkey: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
Fatigue is a common problem in patients with multiple sclerosis (MS) and is one of the most serious symptoms of the disease. Although many factors play a role in the etiology of fatigue in patients with MS, it has been reported that fatigue is caused by irregular or disrupted sleep patterns. ⋯ The results showed that aromatherapy with lavender essential oil has significant impacts on fatigue and sleep in MS patients. Lavender essential oil aromatherapy can be used by nurses as an independent nursing practice. It is an inexpensive, noninvasive, and reliable technique to manage fatigue in individuals with MS.
