Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study
Comparison of the effects of exenatide and insulin glargine on right and left ventricular myocardial deformation as shown by 2D-speckle-tracking echocardiograms.
Exenatide is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analogs. The effects of GLP-1 analogs on myocardial function are controversial. ⋯ Glp-1 treatment can improve left ventricular regional and right ventricular global subclinical dysfunction. Therefore, early GLP-1 treatment may be recommended in diabetic patients with a high risk of cardiac dysfunction.

Three-Dimensional evaluation of the effect of platelet-rich fibrin on edema in lower impacted third molar surgery performed with piezosurgery.
Platelet-rich fibrin (PRF) are widely used in impacted lower third molar (IL3M) 7 surgery and its effect on postoperative edema was generally analysed with linear methods. ⋯ Although PRF reduces edema after IL3M tooth extraction and 3dMD is effective in its evaluation, it has no statistical advantage over classical methods.

Impact of the individual counseling program for polycystic ovarya syndrome management among university students: A prospective randomized controlled trial.
Polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) is common in women of reproductive age. ⋯ Individual counseling improved the anthropometric measurements and the clinical findings related to PCOS.

Randomized split-mouth study for evaluating the efficacy of nimesulide and nimesulide + Thiocolchicoside combination following impacted mandibular third molar surgery.
This study aimed to evaluate acute postoperative pain management and trismus in 35 patients undergoing extractions of the two mandibular third molars, in mesioangular positions, at two different visits who consumed nimesulide + thiocolchicoside or only nimesulide. ⋯ Nimesulide (100 mg) + thiocolchicoside (8 mg) combination has higher analgesic efficacy and better trismus outcomes compared to only nimesulide (100 mg) when orally administered following mandibular third molar surgeries.

Shoulder tip pain after cesarean section: General versus spinal anesthesia.
Shoulder tip pain is a common but overlooked complication during the postoperative cesarean section. In this study, we aimed to investigate the relationship between the anesthesia method and the incidence of shoulder tip pain. ⋯ This study shows that the frequency and severity of shoulder pain are higher in women who have had cesarean section under spinal anesthesia, compared to those who had received general anesthesia.
