Randomized Controlled Trial[Effect of continuous high-volume hemofiltration in patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome].
To investigate the effect of continuous high-volume hemofiltration (CHVHF) in patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS). ⋯ CHVHF is an effective adjuvant treatment for severe ARDS. It can improve the lung function, shorten the duration of MV, improve the percentage of successful weaning from MV, and the survival rate, and it lowers the mortality, but it imparts no obvious influence to hemodynamics in patients.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Remifentanil for analgesia and sedation in mechanically ventilated patients in intensive care unit].
To prospectively assess the effect of remifentanil for analgesia and sedation, the impact on sustenance duration of mechanical ventilation and hemodynamics, and also its adverse reaction in the mechanically ventilated patients in the intensive care unit (ICU). ⋯ The effect of remifentanil was similar to that of the conventional therapy. Remifentanil gives rapid effect, shortens the duration of mechanical ventilation, reduces the dosage of propofol, and has no severe adverse effect.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Study of setting of ventilator volume tidal and airway pressure alarm threshold with continuous extra-sternum heart compression in cardiopulmonary resuscitation].
To investigate the setting of ventilator volume tidal (VT) and airway pressure alarm threshold during cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) by continuous extra-sternum heart compression. ⋯ The strategy of low ventilator VT (6 - 7 ml/kg) with appropriate elevation of airway pressure alarm threshold was better than that of conventional ventilation setting, with no increase in incidence of barotraumas during CPR.

Randomized Controlled Trial[The use of sodium bicarbonate in stages in treating hypoperfusion induced lactic acidemia in septic shock].
To explore the use of sodium bicarbonate in stages in treating hypoperfusion induced lactic acidemia due to septic shock. ⋯ The use of sodium bicarbonate in stages in treating hypoperfusion induced lactic acidemia as a result of septic shock can lower the occurrence rate of multiple organ dysfunction syndrome, time of mechanical ventilation, durations of stay in ICU and in hospital, and mortality.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Treatment of lactic acidosis with early continuous blood purification].
To observe the therapeutic effect of early continuous blood purification (CBP) on lactic acidosis patients. ⋯ Early correction of lactic acidosis with CBP could reduce the mortality of lactic acidosis.
