Observational StudyLower air ozone concentration is associated with the presence of clinical remission in type 1 diabetes diagnosed in adulthood: a prospective, observational study in Wielkopolska voivodeship, Poland.
Clinical remission in type 1 diabetes (T1D) results from metabolic compensation after insulin implementation and is caused by various factors. ⋯ Increased ozone level may exacerbate metabolic outcomes and reduce remission in T1D.

Continuous glucose monitoring parameters in pregnancy-related complications in patients with type 1 diabetes: a retrospective cohort study.
Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) improves pregnancy outcomes in patients with type 1 diabetes (T1D). ⋯ CGM parameters (mean of daily differences, high blood glucose index, glycemic risk assessment in diabetes equation, or continuous overall net glycemic action) in the patients with T1D are significantly associated with the increased risk of LGA at birth and neonatal transient breathing disorders and hyperbilirubinemia. However, we did not find evidence that novel CGM indices could be more effective in predicting those events than the commonly used CGM parameters or HbA1c levels.

Cardiac status and atherosclerotic cardiovascular risk of convalescents after COVID-19 in Poland.
The COVID‑19 pandemic brought about cardiac complications and unfavorable lifestyle changes that may increase cardiovascular risk. ⋯ Data collected in the convalescents indicate a relatively small number of cardiac problems that could be associated with a history of COVID‑19 in either sex, and a high risk of ASCVD, especially in men.

Genetic predisposition to differentiated thyroid cancer among Polish population.
Genome sequencing technologies reveal molecular mechanisms of differentiated thyroid cancer (DTC). Unlike somatic mutation analysis from thyroidectomy samples, germline mutations showing genetic susceptibility to DTC are less understood. ⋯ Even though the Polish population is genetically similar to the other European populations, there are significant differences in variant frequencies contributing to the disease development and progression, such as those in the RET, CHEK2, BRCA1, SLC26A4, or TERT genes. Further studies are needed to identify genomic variants associated directly with DTC.

Recent advances in the management of psoriatic arthritis: practical considerations.
Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is an inflammatory arthritis characterized by inflammation of peripheral and / or axial joints, with or without other tissue manifestations, including skin psoriasis, dactylitis, enthesitis, uveitis, and inflammatory bowel disease. There has been an exponential increase in PsA treatment options over the last 2 decades, and while guidelines have attempted to keep up with the deluge of emerging data, there are several areas in which guidance remains sparse. This is, in part, due to a lack of robust strategy trials, head‑to‑head studies, and real‑world observational data. ⋯ This article provides a concise summary of the current state of guidelines for the management of PsA, and an in‑depth discussion of some of the areas where guidelines and evidence are still lacking. These areas of unmet clinical need in the treatment of PsA should be a priority for further PsA research in the coming years. Only by working with patients and addressing these gaps in our knowledge can we strive for a future where all PsA patients are able to receive treatment that is the best for them, and tailored to their specific needs at any particular time point in their disease trajectory.
