Review[Vaccination for Cirrhosis and Liver Transplant Patients].
Patients with cirrhosis and liver transplantation (LT) have a higher risk of infections, complications and death. Vaccines have historically been used to prevent and reduce the risk of complications from viral and bacterial infections. ⋯ In case of not reaching its inoculation prior to LT, in the post-LT period its vaccination status should be updated. All doctors involved in the health care of these patients must have knowledge about this important topic and be aware of the access and free availability for this population through the presentation of a special form incorporated into the National Immunization Program.

Bioaccumulation of toxic metals in the population is associated with adverse health effects. Although some elements are essential for humans, high levels of exposure can be dangerous. ⋯ The results of this study suggest that a small percentage of the samples analyzed in the beneficiary population of Arica register metal concentration levels above national reference levels established by MINSAL, mainly AsIn, Cd, and Pb. It is essential to continue biomonitoring to reduce and prevent exposure to these metals, which can have harmful effects on human health.

[Evaluation of communication skills from a 360° perspective at simulated Tele-rehabilitation scenarios].
Communication skills (CS) are competencies required by health professionals. Clinical simulation with a simulated/standardized patient (SP) is a good resource for teaching this skill. However, it requires trained teachers to guide the process. Not all teachers have this training. HC short evaluation instruments are required to develop a structured observation during the activity, especially those that can be applied by all the participants to guide and understand the process from a broader perspective. ⋯ The short questionnaire for HC is a valid assessment tool during clinical simulation. Incorporating the views and perceptions of all the simulation participants can improve the understanding of health communication.

Case Reports[Late-Onset Cerebellar Ataxia with Neuropathy: Uncovering the Role of RFC1 Gene Mutations].
We report two unrelated patients with late-onset cerebellar ataxia associated with neuropathy and a long-standing dry cough. One patient had two siblings affected with sensory neuropathy and cough. ⋯ Both patients showed an abnormal intronic expansion in the pentanucleotide AAGGG of the gene RFC1. This etiology is being reported as frequent cause of adult-onset ataxia; the presence of cough may lead to the correct diagnosis.
