Review[Vaccination for Cirrhosis and Liver Transplant Patients].
Patients with cirrhosis and liver transplantation (LT) have a higher risk of infections, complications and death. Vaccines have historically been used to prevent and reduce the risk of complications from viral and bacterial infections. ⋯ In case of not reaching its inoculation prior to LT, in the post-LT period its vaccination status should be updated. All doctors involved in the health care of these patients must have knowledge about this important topic and be aware of the access and free availability for this population through the presentation of a special form incorporated into the National Immunization Program.

Review[Academic residents fellowship program at the University of Chile Clinical Hospital].
The mission of the University of Chile Clinical Hospital is to be the main University Hospital in the country. Along with training of health professionals in clinical practice and research, the Hospital provides comprehensive health solutions to the community. Since its foundation, it played an important role in the training of health professionals and specialists. ⋯ These regulations allow the financing of training programs in basic or primary specialties (such as internal medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynecology, among others) or in specialties derived from them (such as cardiology, gastroenterology and reproductive medicine, among others.) The different clinical departments and the Hospital Direction define each year how many places will be offered and in which specialties. The Faculty of Medicine Graduate School carries out the formal selection of the applicants. This article reviews the results of this program between 2013 and 2021, analyzing in detail the traceability of each graduate over the years.

ReviewAnalysis of the Chilean health promotion policy "Choose a Healthy Lifestyle".
Intersectoral health promotion initiatives in Chile to address obesity and non- communicable diseases have had a long history in Chile, but also a high degree of changes in their design, implementation, and financing. ⋯ Law 20,670 falls within the ACF. However, policy learning slowed down because the problem involved social aspects, conflict between deep beliefs of both coalitions, and lack of permanent funding, thus affecting the continuity of the policy.

Review[Handgrip strength as a predictor of adverse health outcomes].
Muscle strength can be measured through different methods and handgrip strength is one of the most used techniques in epidemiological studies. Given its easy application, high reliability, and low cost, it is considered an important health biomarker. ⋯ There is a paucity of evidence in Chile about the association of handgrip strength with these health outcomes limiting its visibility and implementation in clinical settings. Therefore, this narrative review summarizes the scientific evidence about the association of grip strength with non-communicable chronic diseases and mortality in middle age and older adults.

Review[Pulmonary manifestations of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody associated vasculitis].
This article reviews the pulmonary manifestations of anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibody associated vasculitis (AAV). Its frequency in the different phenotypes of the disease, clinical manifestations and updated therapeutic recommendations are reviewed, aiming to alert the medical community about the existence of these diseases. We pretend to stimulate a timely suspicion, diagnostic precision, and the implementation of effective therapies, to reduce the eventual sequelae derived from a diagnostic omission or an inappropriate treatment for the different clinical scenarios in which these diseases appear.
