The possibility to predict the delivery date is a question frequently raised by pregnant women. However, a clinician has currently little to predict when a woman at term will deliver. ⋯ Cervical length at term has moderate value in predicting the onset of spontaneous labour.

Previous caesarean delivery and the risk of unexplained stillbirth: retrospective cohort study and meta-analysis.
To determine whether caesarean delivery in the first pregnancy is a risk factor for unexplained antepartum stillbirth in a second pregnancy. ⋯ Caesarean first delivery is associated with an increased risk of unexplained stillbirth in the next pregnancy.

Neurodevelopmental disorders are increasingly believed to originate from intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR). Current reviews exploring the neurodevelopmental effects of IUGR, however, are mostly based on birthweight, an inadequate proxy. ⋯ IUGR is associated with an overall risk for neurodevelopmental delay in a range of neurodevelopmental domains.
