Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is the top cause of death in China. We aimed to identify trends in cause-specific CVD mortality in a rapidly developing country, thereby providing evidence for CVD prophylaxis. ⋯ Although the ASMR of total CVD decreased, CVD remained the leading cause of death in China. Cerebrovascular disease, IHD and HD were the major three leading causes of CVD-related death. Inflammatory heart disease-associated death increased in the young population. Attention should be paid to premature deaths associated with cerebrovascular disease and rheumatic heart disease among rural residents.

Much remains to be learned about patients with heart failure with improved ejection fraction (HFimpEF). ⋯ HFimpEF is a common condition across all clinical follow-ups. Prevalent discontinuation of GDMT medications may contribute significantly to recurrent HFrEF, placing patients at a higher risk for poor prognosis.

To explore the feasibility and efficacy of the modified technique of totally intracorporeal ileal conduit (IC) construction via vaginal approach following robot-assisted radical cystectomy (RARC) in females. ⋯ RARC with MICUD represents a safe, feasible and easy-to-learn minimally invasive surgical approach. Patients experience less trauma and faster recoveries.

Tooth extraction is a risk factor for cardiovascular events, particularly in elderly patients. However, no clinical tool has been developed to date to predict the risk of adverse events (AEs) during tooth extraction. ⋯ We developed and validated a predictive model with 11 clinical factors for the AEs during tooth extraction in elderly patients with CVD with well efficiency.

Understanding the determinants that limit the population's access to surgical care in health services is highly relevant in order to provide data to support political interventions. ⋯ Access to the health system varies by region and does not meet the standards proposed by the Brazilian health system. In addition, it seems that longer waiting times for surgery more perceptibly affect the quality of life of older adults and those with other associated diseases.
