A novel wire-guided prefenestration technique for patients with type B aortic dissection: A case report.
Acute type B aortic dissection (ABAD) is a fatal and severe cardiovascular disease. There are various strategies for dissection involving the left subclavian artery, but limited by the variety and cost of stents, the treatment brings certain obstacles. The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness and safety of the wire-guided prefenestration technique for treating left subclavian artery involvement in patients with arterial dissection. ⋯ This innovative approach offers a secure and efficient treatment option for aortic dissection in individuals who have undergone left subclavian artery reconstruction.

Metastatic hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) is an aggressive disease which usually have a poor prognosis. Early mortality and risk factors in patients with metastatic HCC are poorly understood. Our study sought to identify associated risk factors and develop the nomograms for predicting early death in metastatic HCC patients. ⋯ The nomograms demonstrated good predictive power and clinical utility under receiver operating characteristic curves and decision curve analysis. We developed 2 novel comprehensive nomograms to predict early death among metastatic HCC patients. Nomograms may help oncologists develop better treatment strategies and implementation of individualized treatment plans.

Meta Analysis
Meta-analysis of the efficacy of postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy for stage IB non-small cell lung cancer.
Many clinical trials have shown that postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy can provide a survival benefit for patients with stage IB non-small cell lung cancer. However, whether adjuvant chemotherapy should be routinely given after surgery remains controversial. Therefore, we performed a meta-analysis to investigate the efficacy of adjuvant chemotherapy versus surgery alone for stage IB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). ⋯ Receiving postoperative adjuvant chemotherapy improved people's survival and prolonged disease-free survival and recurrence-free survival in patients with stage IB non-small cell lung cancer compared with surgery alone.

Acupuncture and sleep disorders in Parkinson's disease: A systematic evaluation with meta-analysis.
Parkinson's disease (PD) patients commonly suffer from sleep disorders, significantly impacting their quality of life. Western treatments often entail adverse effects, while acupuncture (ACU) presents a safe, nonaddictive alternative. ⋯ ACU therapy effectively improves nighttime sleep quality in PD patients. A treatment duration extending beyond 6 weeks is highly recommended. Additionally, increasing the frequency of ACU sessions and incorporating electroacupuncture in the treatment regimen may be essential for optimal results.

Review Case Reports
Cardiac sarcoidosis in a patient with ulcerative colitis: A case report and literature review.
Both ulcerative colitis (UC) and sarcoidosis are chronic inflammatory diseases with unknown etiologies and are rare. However, the odds ratio in UC patients has been reported to range from 1.7 to 2.1, suggesting a potential etiology between sarcoidosis and UC. Furthermore, the underlying etiologies of UC and sarcoidosis remain unidentified. Sharing the experience of a UC patient with cardiac sarcoidosis could provide valuable insights to prevent sudden death in UC patients. ⋯ In UC patients, periodic or additional (in case of symptomatic) electrocardiography and NT-proBNP are recommended for the early detection of cardiac sarcoidosis, a life-threatening complication.
