The efficacy of traditional Chinese exercise (TCE)-based intervention in the improvement of physiological indicators and quality of life in patients with coronary heart disease (CHD) is controversial. ⋯ TCE intervention is a beneficial nonpharmacological approach to improving physiological indicators in patients with CHD, especially in systolic blood pressure, diastolic blood pressure, and body mass index. However, there was no significant effect on quality of life. Our findings require broader clinical trials and higher-quality study designs to strengthen the evidence.

Multicenter Study Observational Study
Analysis of effectiveness and outcome of traumatic brain injury treatment in ED during COVID-19 pandemic: A multicenter in Taiwan.
The coronavirus disease 2019 has become a threat to global healthcare because of its rapid spread and evolution. In severe cases, the initial management of the disease is mainly supportive therapy and mechanical ventilation. Therefore, we investigated whether a modified emergency department workflow affects the efficacy will influence the efficacy and patient outcomes of traumatic brain injury (TBI) in Taiwan. ⋯ The "Door to the operating room (OR)," with polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing, was on average 109.7 minutes slower than without the PCR testing in the reference period 2019. TBI treatment efficiency was delayed because of the PCR test. However, the surgical volume and functional outcome during these 2 periods were statistically insignificant compared to the pre-pandemic period because the spread of the virus was well controlled and hospital capacity was increased.

Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is characterized by diagnosis at an advanced stage, low rate of operability and poor survival. Therefore, there is a need for a biomarker in NSCLC patients to predict the likely outcome and to accurately stratify the patients in terms of the most appropriate treatment modality. To evaluate prognostic value of pretreatment neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio (NLR) and platelet-to-lymphocyte ratio (PLR) in NSCLC. ⋯ HR was 1.64 (95%CI: 1.11-2.42, P = .013) for PLR ≥ 150 over PLR < 150. Cox-regression analysis revealed that, when adjusted for other independent predictors of survival, NLR and PLR still remain significant predictors of poorer survival. Our findings indicate that elevated pretreatment NLR and PLR are associated with advanced disease and poor survival in NSCLC patients, NLR and PLR values are correlated with each other.

Meta Analysis
Statins on nonalcoholic fatty liver disease: A systematic review and meta-analysis of 14 RCTs.
The prevalence of nonalcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is rising rapidly in the world. Our aim is to investigate the efficacy and safety of statins in the treatment of NAFLD. ⋯ Statins can significantly reduce liver biochemical indicators in patients with NAFLD.

Hydrotherapy and acupressure in restless legs syndrome: A randomized, controlled, 3-armed, explorative clinical trial.
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common neurological disease that has a significant impact on daily activities and quality of life, for which there is often no satisfactory therapy. Complementary medicine, such as acupressure and hydrotherapy, is used to treat patients with RLS; however, the clinical evidence is unclear. This study aims to investigate the effects and feasibility of self-administered hydrotherapy and acupressure in patients with RLS. ⋯ In the case of clinically relevant therapeutic effects, feasibility, and therapeutic safety, the results will be the basis for planning a future confirmatory randomized trial and for helping to develop further RLS self-treatment concepts.
