Epidemic analysis of COVID -19 in Italy based on spatiotemporal geographic information and Google Trends.
Since the first two novel coronavirus cases appeared in January of 2020, the outbreak of the COVID-19 epidemic seriously threatens the public health of Italy. In this article, the distribution characteristics and spreading of COVID-19 in various regions of Italy were analysed by heat maps. Meanwhile, spatial autocorrelation, spatiotemporal clustering analysis and kernel density method were also applied to analyse the spatial clustering of COVID-19. ⋯ By using Adaboost algorithm for single-factor modelling,the results show that the AUC of these six features (mask, pneumonia, thermometer, ISS, disinfection and disposable gloves) are all >0.9, indicating that these features have a large contribution to the prediction model. It is also implied that the public's attention to the epidemic is increasing as well as the awareness of the need for protective measures. This increased awareness of the epidemic will prompt the public to pay more attention to protective measures, thereby reducing the risk of coronavirus infection.

Case ReportsCan COVID-19 Cause Pancreatitis? A Rare Complication of SARS-CoV-2 Infection.
Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) emerged as a cluster of atypical pneumonia in Wuhan, China in December 2019. This disease has been declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. ⋯ Acute pancreatitis is one of the common causes of upper abdominal pain, caused by alcohol consumption, gall stones and various viruses and drugs. We present a case of a young female, who was recently diagnosed as COVID-19 and later on developed acute pancreatitis without any other risk factors. The coronavirus disease-19 (COVID) pandemic has presented a significant challenge to health care providers. Neurosurgical patients are often critically ill and at particularly high risk for COVID, and the pandemic has produced ever-shifting circumstances to allow their continued care. This study explores the psychologic impact of the pandemic on neurosurgical residents at a single institution. ⋯ There were no significant changes in perceived stress or depressive symptoms among neurosurgical residents during the pandemic.

The impact of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin on the corrected qt interval in patients with the novel Coronavirus disease 2019.
With the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) continuing to spread all over the world, although there is no specific treatment until now, hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin have been reported to be effective in recent studies. Although long-term use of hydroxychloroquine and azithromycin has been reported to cause QT prolongation and malign arrhythmia, there is not enough data about the effect of short-term use on arrhythmia. Therefore, this study aims to assess the effect of hydroxychloroquine alone and hydroxychloroquine + azithromycin on corrected QT (QTc). ⋯ In this study, patients who received hydroxychloroquine for the treatment of COVID-19 were at high risk of QTc prolongation, and concurrent treatment with azithromycin was associated with greater changes in QTc.

Thrombotic complications increase in novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients. Most of these complications are associated with venous thromboembolism and pulmonary embolism; and arterial thrombosis is rare. Usually, arterial thrombosis affects peripheral arteries. ⋯ Supra-celiac aortic thrombosis and splenic infarction were detected. This case is reported to share experience regarding our treatment approach in the light of the literature data. Key Words: Arterial thrombosis, Acute aortic thrombosis, COVID-19.
