Kanglaite (KLT) is a Chinese medicine antitumor drug independently developed in China, which has been widely used in the treatment of advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The purpose of this study was to systematically evaluate the efficacy and safety of KLT plus epidermal growth factor receptor-tyrosine kinase inhibitor (EGFR-TKI) in the treatment of advanced NSCLC. ⋯ KLT plus EGFR-TKI has some clinical benefits and good safety compared with EGFR-TKI alone in the treatment of advanced NSCLC. However, it seems that patients with EGFR mutations do not get significant clinical benefits, and more high-quality RCTs are needed to prove the efficacy of the combined regimen.

Chuna manual therapy for the treatment of anorexia in children: A PRISMA-compliant systematic review and meta-analysis.
Anorexia in children can cause malnutrition, low immunity, growth retardation, and various secondary infections, resulting in a huge burden on society. In East Asia, Chuna manual therapy has been widely used for the treatment of childhood anorexia. We aimed to comprehensively evaluate the effects of Chuna manual therapy for treating childhood anorexia. ⋯ Current evidence showed that Chuna manual therapy may be effective and safe for improving anorexia symptoms, especially compared with lysine inositol and vitamin B12, multi-enzyme plus multi-vitamin, and zinc calcium gluconate. However, owing to the low methodological quality of the included studies, more rigorous, high-quality RCTs are required on this topic.

This meta-analysis aimed to compare the effects of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and moderate-intensity continuous training (MICT) on blood pressure in patients with essential hypertension to explore more suitable training. ⋯ HIIT and MICT have similar effects on the overall resting SBP and DBP in patients with hypertension and prehypertension. However, HIIT is better than MICT at reducing SBP during daytime monitoring. In addition, HIIT can improve vasodilation.

Efficacy and safety of anti-obesity herbal medicine focused on pattern identification: A systematic review and meta-analysis.
Herbal medicine based on pattern identification (PI) is used widely in Traditional Chinese Medicine. Proper herbal medicine based on PI has been suggested for effective weight reduction and decreasing the adverse events. This systematic review examined the effectiveness and safety of herbal medicine, focusing on PI in treating obesity. ⋯ Herbal medicine - has good clinical efficacy and safety in treating obesity. This study has limitations that some literatures with high risk of bias in blinding or without using a standardized diagnosis of PI were included. However, the current evidence suggests the possibility of precision medicine using PI.

Efficacy and quality of life of Romiplostim in adults and children with immune thrombocytopenia: A review.
To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy, drug safety and health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of Romiplostim in adult and child immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) patients. ⋯ Romiplostim has a certain clinical efficacy in ITP adults and children, and relatively small adverse drug reactions. The improvement of Romiplostim on HRQoL in ITP adults and children is not clear.
