Multicenter StudyPrevalence of and Risk Factors for Post-traumatic Headache in Civilian Patients After Mild Traumatic Brain Injury: A TRACK-TBI Study.
To ascertain the prevalence of and risk factors for post-traumatic headache (PTH) attributed to mild traumatic brain injury (mTBI). ⋯ Post-traumatic headache is a prevalent sequela of mTBI that persists for at least 12 months in a considerable proportion of affected individuals. The attributable burden necessitates better patient follow-up, disease characterization, improved awareness of PTH in clinical practice, and identification of effective therapies.

The Neurological Pupil index for outcome prognostication in people with acute brain injury (ORANGE): a prospective, observational, multicentre cohort study.
Improving the prognostication of acute brain injury is a key element of critical care. Standard assessment includes pupillary light reactivity testing with a hand-held light source, but findings are interpreted subjectively; automated pupillometry might be more precise and reproducible. We aimed to assess the association of the Neurological Pupil index (NPi)-a quantitative measure of pupillary reactivity computed by automated pupillometry-with outcomes of patients with severe non-anoxic acute brain injury. ⋯ NeurOptics.

Most neonatal and infantile-onset epilepsies have presumed genetic aetiologies, and early genetic diagnoses have the potential to inform clinical management and improve outcomes. Neuroimaging findings in 4342 hospitalized COVID-19 subjects: A multicenter report from the United States and Europe.
To determine the incidence of acute neuroimaging (NI) findings and comorbidities in the coronavirus disease of 2019 (COVID-19)-infected subjects in seven U.S. and four European hospitals. ⋯ This multicenter, multinational study investigated the incidence and spectrum of NI+ in 37,950 hospitalized adult COVID-19 subjects including regional differences in incidences of NI+, associated comorbidities, and other demographics. NI+ incidence in TN was 1.16% including 0.95% in the United States and 2.09% in Europe. ICH, encephalitis, and ADEM were common in Europe, while ischemic strokes were more common in the United States. In this cohort, incidence and distribution of NI+ helped characterize the neurological complications of COVID-19.

Local Control and Survival Outcomes After Stereotactic Radiosurgery for Brain Metastases From Gastrointestinal Primaries: An International Multicenter Analysis.
There are limited data regarding outcomes for patients with gastrointestinal (GI) primaries and brain metastases treated with stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). ⋯ SRS resulted in comparable LC with common primaries. Age and KPS were associated with both LC and OS with planning target volume and extracranial metastases correlating with LC and OS, respectively. These factors should be considered in GI cancer patient selection for SRS.
