Review[The endocrine and metabolic link between COVID-19, diabetes and obesity].
Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is caused by infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome corona virus 2. High age, hypertension, diabetes, and obesity are risk factors for severe COVID-19 with increased mortality. ⋯ Glucose levels should be monitored rigorously, and patient-tailored aggressive treatment of hyperglycaemia is recommended, often with the use of insulin. Persons with diabetes and obesity are susceptible to severe outcomes from COVID-19.

Review[Life-threatening illness and the decision to resuscitate or not].
Current Danish guidance stipulates, that the physician responsible for treatment must assess, if resuscitation is medically indicated in patients with life-threatening illness. Nevertheless, terminally ill patients without medical indication for resuscitation are still asked about preferences for resuscitation rather than informed about the decision not to resuscitate. This review describes clinical dilemmas, which may arise, if these legal rights are misinterpreted. It provides a communication guide designed to assist physicians communicating with patients about the decision to resuscitate or not.

This is a review of diagnostic imaging findings in coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19). CT findings are frequently bilateral, multilobar and peripheral ground-glass opacities with vascular enlargements. ⋯ Initially the CT can be normal, and the diagnostic performance for COVID-19 is not optimal. However, findings of characteristic ground-glass opacities during the ongoing epidemic should lead to considerations, that the patient may have COVID-19.

Review[Simultaneous infusion of Ringer's lactate and Ringer's acetate and other drugs].
In this review, the administration of y-site infusion of crystalloid fluids such as Ringer's lactate and Ringer's acetate is discussed. Incompatibility may occur, and it can manifest as haziness, development of gas, colour change, precipitation and a decline of the concentration of the drug. It can also lead to phlebitis, pulmonary embolism and even death. Information on y-site compatibility with Ringer's lactate can be found, but there is a need for further research regarding y-site compatibility with Ringer's acetate.

Review[Sphenopalatine ganglion block for treatment of post-dural puncture headache].
In this review, we discuss transnasal sphenopalatine ganglion (SPG) block: a new, simple and minimally invasive procedure for the treatment of post-dural puncture headache (PDPH) by applying local anaesthesia through the patient's nose to the nasopharynx. PDPH is a severe and disabling complication sometimes caused by lumbar puncture or unintentional dural puncture. Current treatment includes epidural blood patch, which is an invasive and resource-demanding procedure with the potential of causing severe complications such as infection and paralysis. SPG block seems to be effective and may ease and improve the treatment of PDPH.
