Randomized Controlled Trial[The effect of tesofensine on body weight and body composition in obese subjects--secondary publication].
Results from a phase II trial with Tesofensine for treatment of obesity are presented. In total 203 obese persons were randomised to treatment with Tesofensine 0.25, 0.5, or 1.0 mg, or placebo daily for 24 weeks. ⋯ Tesofensine 0.5 mg might have the potential to produce a weight loss twice that of currently approved anti-obesity drugs. Findings of safety and efficacy of 0.5 mg Tesofensine need confirmation in phase III trials.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Emergency department X-rays requested by physicians or nurses].
Triage nurse requested x-rays reduce waiting-time in the emergency department. Does triage nurse requested x-rays in the emergency department save time for patients with a defined group of low-energy injuries without compromising treatment quality or patient satisfaction? ⋯ Waiting-time was reduced for a well-defined type of low-energy injury requiring x-ray examination at the emergency department when referred to x-ray by a triage nurse. The intervention did not compromise the quality of the treatment or the patients' satisfaction with the intervention.

Randomized Controlled Trial[Reasons for non-attendance and cancellations in a paediatric outpatient clinic].
It is important to identify reasons for non-attendance and late cancellations in the health care system to be able to plan possible interventions. ⋯ In the control group more than 70% of late cancellations and non-attendances could have been predicted by the parents, receiving a mailed reminder reduced this proportion significantly. It remains a challenge to reduce the number of non-Danish speaking patients not attending.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study[Reduced post-partum bleeding after treatment with sublingual misoprostol: a randomized double-blind clinical study in a developing country--secondary publication)].
Post-partum haemorrhage is the most common cause of maternal death in third-world countries. The objective of this study was to evaluate whether routine administration of sublingual misoprostol, 600 g, reduces post-partum haemorrhage. Significantly fewer women in the misoprostol group experienced a loss of > or = 1,000 ml (11% vs. 17%; 0.66 (0.45-0.98)) or > or = 1,500 ml (2% vs. 8%; 0.28 (0.12-0.64)) of blood. We conclude that sublingual misoprostol reduces the frequency of severe post-partum haemorrhage.

Randomized Controlled Trial Comparative Study Clinical Trial[Effect of the synthetic cannabinoid dronabinol on central pain in patients with multiple sclerosis--secondary publication].
Cannabinoids reduce allodynia/hyperalgesia in animal pain models, but few clinical studies evaluated the analgesic action in humans. We aimed to evaluate the effect of delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (dronabinol) on central pain in MS patients. ⋯ Dronabinol reduced the spontaneous pain intensity significantly compared with placebo (4.0 (2.3-6.0) vs. 5.0 (4.0-6.4), median (25th-75th percentiles), p = 0.02). Though dronabinol's analgesic effect is modest, its use should be evaluated considering the general difficulty in treating central pain.
