Retrospective Review. ⋯ Among newly presenting spine patients, those of non-white race, Hispanic ethnicity, and with increased social vulnerability were less likely to complete PROMs. As these subpopulations also reported worse physical function or pain intensity, additional strategies are needed to better capture patient reported health status in order to avoid bias in clinical care, outcomes research and health policy.

Retrospective. ⋯ DDIs are significant, adverse events that can greatly complicate patient recovery after PSF for AIS, including rehospitalization. This study found that patients who received VP intraoperatively were 10 times less likely to develop a DDI than those who did not receive VP. Although other advances/changes in surgical techniques may contribute to the significant decrease in infections found in the more recent VP cohort, VP should be considered as a prophylactic measure.

20-year Radiographic Outcomes Following Single Level Cervical Disc Arthroplasty: Results from a Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial.
Prospective randomized controlled trial. ⋯ Cervical disc arthroplasty maintains index-level and total cervical ROM with very long-term follow-up. Total cervical ROM was higher at 20 years in CDA relative to ACDF. CDA results in lower rates of ASD and adjacent-level ossification development than ACDF.

This was a retrospective cohort study. ⋯ Level III-retrospective cohort study.
