Systematic review and meta-analysis. ⋯ In summary, our meta-analysis suggests that LSSE can potentially improve disability, especially when used as a single treatment. LSSE appears more beneficial in reducing disability than alleviating pain. Future research on different patient groups is needed to understand comprehensively LSSE's effects on other musculoskeletal disorders.

A retrospective cohort study. ⋯ The degenerative change at the disc below the LIV, L4-5, and L5-S1 levels was observed following PSI and RD with DVR. Thoracic hypokyphosis may negatively influence intervertebral discs in AIS patients required for deformity correction. Therefore, restoration of thoracic kyphosis is important to prevent long-term DD in AIS.

A retrospective case-control study. ⋯ Both CMCT and PCT are often prolonged in compressive lesions of the epiconus and conus medullaris, and MEP latency and CMCT are useful in the diagnosis.

How Accurate are Anatomical Surface Topography Parameters in Indicating the Presence of a Scoliosis?
Retrospective analysis of a longitudinal cohort. ⋯ The use of fixed anatomical points around the torso, analysed using logistic regression, has a high accuracy for identifying curves in the thoracic, thoracolumbar / lumbar and whole spines. Whilst coming from surface topography images, the results raise the future use of digital photography as a tool for the identification of a small scoliosis without using other imaging techniques.
