Retrospective cohort study. ⋯ SLIM has a similar operative time to PSF and is technically similar to PSF while maintaining the surgical and postoperative outcome advantages of 3MIS.

20-year Radiographic Outcomes Following Single Level Cervical Disc Arthroplasty: Results from a Prospective Randomized Controlled Trial.
Prospective randomized controlled trial. ⋯ Cervical disc arthroplasty maintains index-level and total cervical ROM with very long-term follow-up. Total cervical ROM was higher at 20 years in CDA relative to ACDF. CDA results in lower rates of ASD and adjacent-level ossification development than ACDF.

This is a cross-sectional survey. ⋯ This novel classification system can be used to reliably categorize TDHs, standardize description, and potentially guide the selection of surgical approach. Validation of this system with regard to treatment and clinical outcomes represents a line of future study.

Retrospective review of prospectively collected data. ⋯ Shorter OR time for ASD correction is associated with a lower minor complication rate, a lower estimated blood loss, fewer intensive care unit admissions, and a shorter hospital length of stay without sacrificing alignment correction or PROMs. Maximizing operative efficiency by minimizing OR time in ASD surgery has the potential to benefit patients, surgeons, and hospital systems.
