Randomized Controlled Trial Multicenter Study
Predictive Factors Affecting Surgical Outcomes in Patients With Degenerative Lumbar Spondylolisthesis.
Post-hoc analysis of 5-year follow-up data from a prospective randomized multicenter trial. ⋯ While the degree of vertebral slippage and the presence of angulation were not associated with poor recovery after surgery for lumbar degenerative spondylolisthesis, postoperative outcomes were associated with the intervertebral angle and the presence of translation. Careful preoperative measurement of these factors may help to predict poor postoperative outcomes.Level of Evidence: 3.

Effect of Topical Steroid on Swallowing following ACDF: Results of a Prospective Double-Blind Randomized Control Trial.
Randomized, double-blinded, controlled trial. ⋯ Local administration of corticosteroid after multilevel ACDF can decrease postoperative severity and symptomatology of dysphagia during the immediate postoperative period to 1-month postoperatively. The long-term effects of local steroid administration on fusion and other complications will need to be established in future studies.Level of Evidence: 1.

Early Occupational Intervention for People with low back pain in Physically Demanding jobs: 1-year Follow-up Results of the Randomized Controlled GOBACK Trial.
Randomized controlled trial with 1-year follow up. ⋯ The results suggest that a thorough clinical consultation, with focus on explaining the cause of pain and instructions to stay active, can promote long-lasting physical and mental health in individuals with LBP. Therefore, additional occupational interventions could focus on altering occupational obstacles on a structural level.Level of Evidence: 2.

Efficacy and Long-term Effect of Radiofrequency Denervation in Patients with Clinically Diagnosed Cervical Facet Joint Pain: A Double-blind Randomized Controlled Trial.
Multicenter double-blind randomized sham-controlled trial. ⋯ We did not observe significant differences between RF denervation combined with injection of local anesthesia compared with local anesthesia only at 6 months follow-up. We found a difference in the long-term effect after 6 months follow-up in favor of the RF treatment.Level of Evidence: 2.
