To examine meals provided by meal kit delivery services (MKDS) and to evaluate their nutritional composition. ⋯ Recipes from MKDS should be revised to improve their nutritional composition; specifically, reductions in salt and saturated fat content and an increase in dietary fiber are needed. Given the variation in the nutritional composition of meals, work is also needed to ascertain the main factors influencing selections made by consumers, and the relevance of guidance and information to support this.

Low muscle mass (MM) is significant in cancer patients, and computed tomography (CT) is considered the reference standard for MM assessment. We investigated the consistency of CT and multifrequency bioelectrical impedance analysis (mBIA) in detecting body composition at baseline and during anticancer treatment and the relationship between MM and malnutrition as well as complications in lung and cervical cancer patients. ⋯ mBIA- and CT-derived body composition was highly correlated, and agreement was reached on body composition changes during treatment.

Orthognathic surgery is a complex orofacial surgery that can significantly impact occlusal function and effect nutritional and quality of life parameters. This study aimed to evaluate alterations in dietary intake, chewing function, physical activity, and oral health-related quality of life of patients undergoing orthognathic surgery. ⋯ The findings indicate a temporary decline in nutritional intake and chewing ability with subsequent recovery by the third month postsurgery. These changes, along with the trends in oral health-related quality of life, underscore the need for tailored nutritional and functional rehabilitation programs following orthognathic surgery.

Randomized Controlled Trial
Joint effects of one year of marine omega-3 fatty acid supplementation and participant dietary fish intake upon circulating lipid mediators of inflammation resolution in a randomized controlled trial.
We assessed the joint effects of omega (n)-3 fatty acid supplementation and dietary fish intake on systemic lipid mediators of inflammation among adults. ⋯ Beneficial changes in circulating proresolving and proinflammatory mediators were found with 1-y of ω-3 fatty acid supplementation versus placebo for all participants, with a trend toward larger effects among those with low baseline fish intake, although interactions were not significant.
