Randomized Controlled TrialRole of Intravenous Magnesium Sulphate in Term Neonates with Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy (HIE) in a Low-income Country: A Randomised Clinical Trial.
To determine the effects of magnesium sulphate in term neonates with hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) in reducing mortality and morbidity. ⋯ Magnesium sulphate is better in establishing earlier suck feed and reducing the duration of seizures and neurological problems in babies with birth asphyxia. Key Words: Hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, Magnesium sulphate, Outcome, Term, Low income country.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of Therapeutic Effects and Olfactory Function of Oral Glucocorticoid and Intranasal Glucocorticoid on Chronic Rhinosinusitis Patients with Nasal Polyps.
To compare the therapeutic effects and olfactory function of oral glucocorticoid and intranasal glucocorticoid in patients with chronic rhinosinusitis (CRS) with nasal polyps. ⋯ Compared with intranasal glucocorticoid, oral glucocorticoid can obviously improve the therapeutic effect and olfactory function of patients, and the postoperative recurrence rate is lower. Key Words: Sinusitis, Nasal polyps, Endoscopic sinus surgery, Glucocorticoid.

Randomized Controlled TrialComparison of the Recurrence Rate of Entropion via Subciliary Route and Transconjunctival Route in Combined Lateral Tarsal Strip with Retractor Advancement Procedure for Involutional Entropion Correction.
To compare the recurrence rate of entropion via subciliary route and transconjunctival route in combined lateral tarsal strip with retractor advancement procedure for involutional entropion correction. ⋯ The transconjunctival approach for involutional entropion correction is as effective as the subciliary approach with lateral tarsal strip and retractor advancement procedure. Surgery duration through the transconjunctival route is significantly shorter as compared to the subciliary approach. Key Words: Entropion, Involutional, Lateral tarsal strip, Lower eyelid, Retractor advancement, Recurrence, Subciliary, Transconjunctival.

Randomized Controlled TrialEmollient Therapy in Preterm & Low Birth Weight Neonates: A Randomised Clinical Trial.
To assess the impact of emollient therapy on gain in weight and length among preterm and low birth weight babies. ⋯ For 140 neonates, the mean increase in weight was 489.84 ± 297.48 grams among group-A neonates (emollient therapy group) and it was 373.43 ± 276.31 grams among group-B neonates (p = 0.018). The mean increase in length was 6.5 ± 1.1 cm, among group-A neonates and 4.8 ± 1.3 cm in group-B neonates (p ˂0.001). Conclusion: Massage with emollient therapy leads to significantly more increase in weight and length compared to massage alone, among preterm and low birth weight neonates. Emollient therapy is an effective non-pharmacological intervention for increasing weight and length in low birth weight and preterm neonates. Key Words: Emollient, Massage, Low birth weight, Preterm neonates, Weight, Length.

Randomized Controlled TrialConcomitant Therapy versus Triple Therapy: Efficacy in H. Pylori Eradication and Predictors of Treatment Failure.
To compare concomitant therapy (CT) and triple therapy (TRT) for success in helicobacter (H.) pylori eradication and identify factors associated with treatment failure. ⋯ CT achieves better H. pylori eradication than TRT. Older age, longer duration of illness, and previous proton pump inhibitor use were independent predictors of H. pylori treatment failure. Key Words: Concomitant therapy, Eradication, H. pylori, Triple therapy.
