Impact of delay in cystoscopic surveillance on recurrence and progression rates in non-muscle invasive bladder cancer patients during COVID-19 pandemic.
To evaluate the impact of delay in cystoscopic surveillance on recurrence and progression rates in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). ⋯ This study showed that a 2-5 months of delay in follow-up cystoscopy increases the risk of recurrence by 2.4-fold, and delay in cystoscopy for more than 3 months increases the probability of progression by 6.7-fold. We suggest that cystoscopic surveillance should be done during the COVID-19 pandemic according to the schedule set by relevant guidelines.

Randomized Controlled TrialEffectiveness of kinesiotaping in pregnant women with sacroiliac joint pain: A randomised controlled study.
Sacroiliac joint (SIJ) dysfunction is an especially common cause of pain during pregnancy. Treatment options during pregnancy are very limited in order to reduce pain and increase the quality of life. We aimed to determine the efficacy of kinesiotaping (KT) in the treatment of SIJ pain in pregnant women. ⋯ KT treatment improved the pain levels, functioning and quality of life among pregnant women with SIJ pain.

Liothyronine and Levothyroxine Prescribing in England: A Comprehensive Survey and Evaluation.
The approach to thyroid hormone replacement varies across centres, but the extent and determinants of variation is unclear. We evaluated geographical variation in levothyroxine (LT4) and liothyronine (LT3) prescribing across General Practices in England and analysed the relationship of prescribing patterns to clinical and socioeconomic factors. ⋯ In spite of strenuous attempts to limit prescribing of liothyronine in general practice a significant number of patients continue to receive this therapy, although there is significant geographical variation in the prescribing of this as for levothyroxine, with specific general practice and CCG-related factors influencing prescribing of both levothyroxine and liothyronine across England.

The Effect Of Chronic DOAC Treatment On Clinical Outcomes Of Hospitalized Patients With COVID-19.
Recent findings indicate that thrombosis is one of the underlying pathophysiology and complication of COVID-19 infection. Therefore, the prognosis of the disease may be more favourable in people who were under oral anticoagulant treatment before the COVID-19 diagnosis. This study aims to evaluate the effects of chronic DOAC use on ICU admission and mortality in hospitalized patients due to COVID-19 infection. ⋯ Our study showed that the use of DOAC prior to hospitalization had no protective effect on in-hospital mortality and intensive care need in hospitalized COVID-19 patients.
