Treatment of High-Energy Intra-Articular Fractures of Tibia with Ilizarov External Fixator in Adults: A Tertiary Center Experience.
To evaluate the clinical and radiological outcomes of the Ilizarov fixator in the proximal and distal fractures of the tibia. ⋯ The postoperative clinical and radiological outcome indicated that primary Ilizarov external fixator is a reliable minimal invasive surgery and definitive fixation method for high-energy intra-articular proximal and distal tibial fractures with compromised soft-tissue. It also offers early stabilisation and painless joint motion without a high rate of complications.

Clinical-radiological correlations in COVID-19-related venous thromboembolism: preliminary results from a multidisciplinary study.
Among the multiple complex pathophysiological mechanisms underlying COVID-19 pneumonia, immunothrombosis has been shown to play a key role. One of the most dangerous consequences of the prothrombotic imbalance is the increased incidence of micro- and macrothrombotic phenomena, especially deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). ⋯ In our cohort radiological parameters showed a significant correlation with clinical prognostic indices and scores, thus suggesting that a multidisciplinary approach is advisable in the evaluation of PE in COVID-19 patients.

The effect of vesicourethral anastomosis technique on functional results in retropubic radical prostatectomy.
We aimed to compare the functional results of two different vesicourethral anastomosis (VUA) techniques used in open retropubic radical prostatectomy. ⋯ Better continence results can be provided with the six-focus VUA technique compared with the four-focus technique. The number of anastomotic sutures in VUA may affect functional results and can be a determinative factor for surgeons who focus on functional results as well as oncological results.

The aim of the current study was to investigate Erectile dysfunction (ED) in asthma patients without comorbidity and the relationship between the level of asthma control and ED. ⋯ The current study showed that ED is frequent and more severe in asthma patients than controls with same age. A highly negative correlation was found between ED degree and asthma control severity.

The Knowledge, Attitudes and Practices of Healthcare Workers on Drug Hypersensitivity Reactions in Children: A Tertiary Center Experience from Turkey.
Adverse drug reactions are an important public health concern that affects doctor and dentist prescriptions and healthcare workers' practice. We planned to evaluate the knowledge, attitudes and practices of healthcare workers in our country about drug hypersensitivity reactions in paediatric patients and to determine the risk factors that may affect them. ⋯ Our results suggest that advanced training programmes must be provided for healthcare workers in learning drug hypersensitivity reactions, particularly in paediatric patients.
